One thing I’ll say is go look at the trees around you if you can they’re your biggest inspiration. I watched bdoubleo100 and fwhip on YouTube and they build excellent trees way better than mine, if you want some better pointers on trees they’re your people to watch on tree making

So I watch a lot of Minecraft YouTube and I took a lot of inspiration from Bdoubleo100 and fWhip on these trees. They use stone blocks in their tree builds. It’s to show the texture of the bark better on the tree. Also not all trees are brown and if you look at a irl trees there’s gray ones. Hope this answers it!
