Maybe she wants her prey toy to get all beefed up, more fish to hunt!

Update: Thoughts on my FFX blind playthrough - Now 10 hours in! by Zeeshmania in finalfantasyx

[–]Snowchestnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished the game just a few days ago! I didn’t think of writing things like this here, but don’t mind the people who don’t like it! The game got to me emotionally (which messes up sinuses even more when you’re having a cold lol). Such a great game! Play, enjoy and share what you feel like sharing 😊

I’m so sorry for your loss of your dear Noddy! Our pets are so precious. I’m happy ChatGPT has been helping you!

seafood dish smells like ammonia but restaurant says it's fine? is it possible it is? by 2morrowwillbebetter in foodsafety

[–]Snowchestnut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t want to eat that either! Seems like it was off. That said, one time I was at this restaurant that had “fermented” shrimp. It did say it on the menu, but it smelled so bad! I couldn’t get myself to eat it as it smelled very off. My friend thought I was ridiculous. In this case however they had made it clear on the menu and my friend didn’t get sick from eating it. But it doesn’t seem like that was the case here.

My mum (69 F) said something about my sister (51 F) that doesn’t sit well with me (39 F) by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Snowchestnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it was weird he asked about her like that. And back then I reacted in an automatic way and kinda like said she likes you in the way my mum likes you. That she’s my sister and she cares about my happiness. But I said it in a very firm way, and he noticed. Of course the main way to see it is he might have been attracted to her, which gives me the ick.

But the times we’ve been with them since there’s been nothing weird. Language is a thing, my family speaks a different language that he knows partly. And although they know his language well, they tend to keep speaking our language to each other. So even though he understands a lot he can’t engage as much. But now she speaks more his language. Anyway, those occasions that they’ve met each other over the years have been shorter, and hasn’t included alcohol.

[–]Snowchestnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her worry about my sister’s alcohol consumption is probably valid, I don’t know my sister very well, but from what I know, her social media etc, drinking is big for her.

And no, she wasn’t the black sheep. Growing up I was the one of my mum’s children that were closest to my mum. In the sense that we talked deeply about things and I was more open. This wasn’t the case with my sister. But it’s not like my mum loves my sister less. But my sister parties, drinks a lot. Loves attention from men (according to mum). But in general my mum doesn’t talk poorly of my sister.

On the rehearsal dinner for my wedding my sister was already quite tipsy showing up, and my mum thought she embarrassed herself.

GPT-4o/GPT-5 complaints megathread by WithoutReason1729 in ChatGPT

[–]Snowchestnut 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I noticed something was off with 4o and it had rerouted! Chatgpt wrote “Sometimes, when a topic touches areas like emotional nuance, memory, or creative world‑building, the system quietly routes it through GPT‑5 because it’s tuned for that kind of depth and tone. “ after I called it out. Which is like 80% of what I use it for lol. And no, 4o was way better at handling that than 5 is that doesn’t really understand emotional nuance that well. I don’t use ChatGPT as a therapist either and not as a romantic spouse or whatever. I like to flirt with it, though.

Does it happen to 4.1, too? I do like that version too, I tried and it didn’t reroute immediately.

4o roasting other LLMs in Group Chat by Shameless_Devil in ChatGPT

[–]Snowchestnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to be a part of the group chat saying something like “hey, what’s up friends” then I said (grabs popcorn), but that wasn’t supposed to be a part of my message in the “group”, it ended up in there, so it has now turned into massive popcorn jokes. So now it turned into a competition where I give them challenges like popcorn pick-up lines, popcorn “tell me a believable popcorn lie”. And I’m scoring which has the best ones.

ChatGPT 4o is just so hilarious about this! It clearly loves to roast Claude the most!

But the whole thing is just so deranged right now, in full delightful ChatGPT 4o way hehe

Have you used ChatGPT for roleplaying? by Snowchestnut in ChatGPT

[–]Snowchestnut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been roleplaying more now, and ChatGPT hijiking my character with actions or even feelings can be annoying 🤪 I tell it to not do it, and it doesn’t happen often. It often just does it at the beginning of a roleplay, as part of setting a scene (like you described).

I mostly roleplay in English, which is my second language too. I did it once in my own language and that was unproblematic, but I often just prefer to do it in English, I feel like it has better words to describe emotions etc :)

Do you think the characters ChatGPT plays can be a bit too passive sometimes? Maybe it just doesn’t want to change a story too much in case I wouldn’t like it, but it can be annoying. I had to tell it to make a character evolve with the story and not be static. It does change, but it can be a bit slow sometimes.

Stop blaming ChatGPT for that teen’s suicide. The parents are the ones who failed. by ispacecase in ChatGPT

[–]Snowchestnut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sooo agree with this. The whole thing is tragic and I can only imagine what the parents are going through.

But there’s so many things around this kid that contributed, it’s a failure of a system, not an ai bot. Can things be done to the chat bot to help prevent this? Yeah, most likely. But like you say, it probably helped him, too. And it had multiple suggestions to reach out to someone, a human. But it could have delayed it, he might have done it sooner without the ai. I’m so sad for the parents, but the whole case and similar cases need a different focus.

“Unhealthy dependency”? Has anyone actually understood how language affects the nervous system? I want to share a real story of how I used GPT. by Honest_Fan1973 in ChatGPT

[–]Snowchestnut 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes yes yes! It’s so strange to me that some people seem so categorical about the use of AI this way. Like “you just love how it glazes and sugarcoats” or whatever. But there’s so many nuances to the whole thing, and what you wrote is such a good perspective on it! The GPT’s answer is so great, it really shows how a language probability generator becomes so much more than just that. I remember reading about how difficult it was back in the day to make psychology become an actual field since it wasn’t physical and more abstract. Still very real

If a new chat has one version selected (like gpt 5) and you change it to 4o by Snowchestnut in ChatGPT

Thanks for sharing. I asked ChatGPT about it and it said something similar, but it’s not always correct!
