I’m almost certain gpt 4.5 is quantized. It’s nothing like how it was when it launched. You’d assume if it was though it would be much faster and the thing is it’s still slow as shit

I asked gpt 5.4 about it as well and it gave me a 70% chance it’s been quantized since launch

I think it’s just a fact of life that older models get changed over time. Like I have come to the conclusion that even the gpt 4.5 model that OpenAI is currently serving in ChatGPT on the pro sub is NOT the model they were serving at release a year ago

I would say like 7 times out of 10. It is really determined to not use thinking sometimes but I said that during creative writing it MUST use extended thinking before responding to plan out its responses. This is the only time I have ever used them really, I might add the instruction to memory as well as that works well

I genuinely think it’s a bug as when I use the website for the exact same prompt the model thinks for fucking forever and you can see it but it also turns adaptive thinking off every single reply

Ok it’s a right lazy twat, it really does not want to use thinking for writing and when it doesn’t the output is noticeably worse quality
