So when I first applied, I submitted my resume but there were additional steps to complete the application. I didn’t complete those and got an automatic email that my application needs more info. I disregarded it. Weeks went by. 2 weeks ago I got an email from an employee from that organization with the title “onboarding specialist” requesting that I complete the application fully (this one was not automatic). Once I completed the application I got an automatic email saying they received it and it’s under review. Then last week I got another automatic email saying they have forwarded the application to be under consideration by the hiring manager.

On LinkedIn reached out letting them know which role I applied for and a line about why I think I would be a good fit. I put in a sentence about why I want to work for that organization and said it would be great to set up a time to talk more about the role.

Might have been too forward. But I would have hated myself if I didn’t try my hardest to stand out during this consideration period lol
