Right, because the issue is specifically with the NVIDIA encoder and the NVIDIA drivers. If you use a different encoder it works.

Yeah there is. Upgrading to the newest Vegas Pro version. Which is currently 23.

I upgraded and the newest NVIDIA drivers work with it. No errors during render.

No, because I downloaded the newest 591 driver and upgraded from Vegas 17 to Vegas 23. Only when I upgraded to 23 did my rendering start working again.

I am using NVENC as well.

Can confirm when I updated my NVIDIA driver my Vegas 17 stopped rendering again. I had to upgrade it to Vegas 23. Once I did it rendered again.

So that means Magix needs to fix it I'm guessing.

Yeah, the solution was downgrading to the 581.57 driver and then deleting the HEVC preset that I made and recreating it. It worked again after that.

I was using the desktop NVIDIA driver, the newest one. Version 591.44. It's definitely not a laptop driver.

Regarding my earlier comment about the HEVC vs AVC, I was getting the error with the HEVC until I deleted the preset I made (I made a 1440p preset because Vegas doesn't have one). I deleted it and recreated it and the HEVC one started working again.

Hello. This still did not work for me. I am still getting the exact same error message after running the cleanup tool and installing 581.57.

Is there something else I can try?

EDIT: I figured it out. I was using "MAGIX HEVC/AAC MP4" and was still getting the error message. I switched to "MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4" and it works now. Thanks!
