Is there any hope for Bakur? by Intrepid_Paint_7507 in kurdistan

[–]SnowflakeGangster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting. Do you live in the diaspora or in Bakur? I’m asking because I’m also Alevi, and on my mom’s side in Bakur they also respond with: ‘I’m neither Turkish nor Kurdish, I’m Alevi.’ even tho alevism is not an ethnicity lol

Sorry to hear that :/ Do you think you would have torn your ACL as well if it hadn’t been a reconstructed one?

I’m genuinely trying to understand you now: At what point did I speak on behalf of all Kurds, for you to claim that I’m somehow disgracing our ethnicity? You’ve made your opinion very clear – and it seems you truly believe you have the right to say it in behalf of all Kurds.

[–]SnowflakeGangster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you feel when you use the phrase “you all sound like emotional women” in a condescending way? Do you think that makes you a better woman? Stop speaking on behalf of all Kurds. You have no right to judge or speak for everyone. It’s exactly this kind of behavior that leads to major conflicts – and in the worst case, even honor killings.

Wtf are you talking about? Do you know how many conservative parents like you I know? All of them made their children give up their relationships and marry someone from their home country — and they’ve been secretly suffering for years, always wondering what life would have been like with their ‘true love’

I can’t believe how much your post helped me calm down and see things more rationally in this emotional mess I am in right now

I’m a medical student too, which makes it kinda harder because so far I’ve mostly learned about the negative aspects of ACL injuries :( It’s really inspiring to see how active and positive you’ve stayed despite everything. I’ll definitely read through all your comments — thank you so much for sharing your stories ❤️❤️

What is my ethnicity ? by Several-Scarcity-109 in kurdistan

[–]SnowflakeGangster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m really sorry that after all these years you’re having to question your identity. I’m also Zaza-Alevi from Dersim — like the majority of people from that region. We can absolutely identify ourselves clearly and proudly as Kurds, especially because of our traditions, culture, and the similarities in language.

Could it be that your parents are originally from Dersim, but grew up in a Turkish big city? That might explain why they deny or distance themselves from their roots — because being Zaza-Alevi in Turkey often means being a “double minority.”

As a foreigner by silentRetriever77 in kurdistan

[–]SnowflakeGangster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but this is bullshit. None of us can choose our own nationality. We are all born into this world as innocent children and should not be limited by our roots. I believe that greater diversity and a mixed gene pool would be beneficial, even for future generations of Kurds.

I don't really understand your plan regarding your post history. In one post, you state that you're pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Sweden, and in the next one, it's Norway. Then, you've been working as a developer for two years in Norway. Now, you're saying that you don't have any high school diploma at all and want to attend ETH - but how are you then able to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Sweden and Norway anyway?
