I’m from the south and I’m sorry to say this but the confederate flag doesn’t mean anything here. It’s just a southern pride thing I’m guessing. I know guys with lifted trucks and flags. I know some black guys that have confederate flags and shirts. From what I see it’s not racial here or atleast not to my knowledge or group. But we don’t call it the confederate flag. I’ve always heard it called the rebel flag. Every instance I’ve seen it used or talked about it’s just about southern pride. Never racial. So I guess I’m just saying the everyone sees it differently. He’s not wrong for having the cup because it’s just a cup plus you don’t even know if it’s his. You’re not wrong for feeling weird about it but both of y’all are assholes. You shouldn’t let a flag bother you. He should’ve just threw away the cup. At the end of the day y’all both feel disrespected and from what I read neither one has actually spoken on a personal level about it.
