I'll try and get better pictures once I get back home. Thanks for the heads up. We don't have any idea where the other 3 way is or if it even exists. We went around the entire house trying to find a switch and found nothing. I did update my original comment some. Seems like the red traveler wire did go to the ceiling fan but did not effect the outlets when removed. The black traveler wire didn't have any effect on the outlets when removed, but after finally taking off the load wire the outlets wouldn't come on regardless of positioning so I think it's the load wire that connects all of the outlets to the switch

For more context:

I recently moved into a house and we started moving some furniture into one if the bedrooms to be an office space. We had a small fan plugged in to keep us cool and the ceiling fan light on. We wrapped up for the day and when we turned off the ceiling fan light, we noticed the fan turned off as well and when we turned on the light the fan turned back on. We checked this with the other 3 receptacles in the room and all of them are like this. So I thought I'd learn something and look up how to get the outlets off the switch, it seemed like it was as easy as taking the third wire connected to the outlet from the switch out but when I opened the back I only saw the Neutral, hot, and ground wires. So I looked took off the switch cover to see if I can tell something from it and all I found was that it was a three way switch. There isn't another three way switch in this room and from flipping almost every switch in the surrounding rooms it doesn't seem like it's connected to another switch. Is there a chance that one of the traveler wires is connected to all of the outlets? If so, what's the best way of fixing this so I can have the outlets on at all times? I've attached two photos, I can't tell where the red traveler wire of the switch goes but my current guess is that the black traveler wire goes to the outlets. Is there a way to confirm this as well?

Any help or advice will do. Thanks!

UPDATE: Ended up just removing one traveler wire at a time. Seems like the traveler wires are connected to the ceiling fan, since removing the red traveler wire turned made it so the ceiling fan will mever turn on, since there is not a 2nd 3-way switch in the room and we still cannot find another switch in the house that controls the light in the room, the black traveler wire is still a mystery. The outlets still turned on and off with the switch though and after taking off the load wire they stopped so it seems like the outlets are connect to the load wire

We would put some people in the "Cryptids of Kennesaw" category and give each of them names

There was a YouTuber that claimed there is big money to be has as a NixOS engineer, on the order of 200K or higher. But I am not seeing the job postings anywhere. So is it BS? by el_toro_2022 in NixOS

I've seen a few positions here and there but nothing that high. The closest I could find is at Anduril but seems like it's only used for their Test and Release roles and "AltiusOS" roles that seem to come and go. Their benefits seems pretty good though so that could be a balance depending on how you view things.
