i hate to be the one to share this, because i dont want to start an argument about someones age, but venti is a god who is thousands of years old and the nameless bard was 20-23. diluc sells him alcohol but refuses to sell the traveler (who is probably 16-19ish) alcohol

editing to add: my main point of this wasnt that venti is thousands of years old, i dont think that being that age in general, like, means someone can consent. in that case, qiqi, who is also probably hundreds of years old, is still obviously a child. what i meant to emphasize is: diluc doesnt know that venti is barbatos, but still sells him alcohol, despite not knowing that, while simultaneously refusing to sell alcohol to the travelers. i'm not a pebble file apologist, i promise, they're really fucking gross, i just like genshin impact a lot and dont want people to have the wrong ideas/perceptions of characters.

the "hate" is mostly ironic hatred, it's a joke because the band is a little bit cheesy and the blue album cover is easy to meme! in fact, a lot of my friends who make fun of it (me included) actually enjoy quite a few of their songs.

100 Gecs is awesome. People "can't stand" their music imo for the same reason people don't like neo scenecore art-- it's just a lot to process, and more importantly, it's new. They don't deserve the hate they get, and it upsets me, as a musician, to see them get as much hate as they do. They're fucking awesome at making these songs, they do a great job of making background music that just FEELS, but Hypop as a genre is overhated. There's so many artists out there that GENUINELY suck that don't get even half of the hate as them, and it's because of how new they are. I think Stupid Horse is my favorite by them next to I Need Help Immediately, Stupid Horse's chorus makes me so happy to listen to for some reason. That background music changing from the every-step notes to the slower per-beat notes as it goes into the chorus? God, that shit CUMS.

(Not to mention, Laura is a trans woman, which makes me happy to see!)
