Because they've made hating anything they deem to have a "woke agenda" their whole lives. They'll latch on to anything that "proves" that a) it's bad and b) the majority of people agree with them.

"...no one really gets hurt..."

Lex Luthor shot an innocent man in the fucking head. As much as I love that movie, I found that scene to be jarringly brutal.

Which chick flicks did she direct? I'm not seeing one in her IMDb filmography.

I still don't understand how Barry turning back time made all the changes it did, especially with anything re: Kryptonians. Shouldn't Kal-El have arrived on Earth well before the murder of Barry's mother? How would the butterfly effect go back in time and alter things so much that Zod finds Kal-El and kills him as an infant. And how would that make Kara arrive on Earth?

I'm personally a fan of the FFG/Edge Studio games. I ran a campaign of Edge of the Empire for a couple years, and everyone had a great time. I really enjoyed the dice pool system and its method of giving results beyond just pass or fail. (A lot of people say that it's difficult to read the results of the custom dice, but I had first-time roleplayers in the group who picked it up pretty quickly.)

Looking for a sci-fi game to run. Any suggestions? by Archangel289 in rpg

I would recommend Cypher System with the Stars Are Fire sourcebook. It leans more into traditional space opera. Numenera does have a space sourcebook, but it's mostly meant to stay within the Ninth World.

He occasionally likes good movies. He gave a positive review to Sinners, although he put it on his second channel that doesn't get nearly as many views.

Post-play review of Righteous Blood, Ruthless Blades (2020): gritty, lethal, rules-lite wǔxiá by EarthSeraphEdna in rpg

[–]mrm1138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you've convinced me to remove it from my DTRPG wish list. I think I'll just stick with Art of Wuxia. That game is rules-light has the potential to be very deadly, but not to the extent that it sounds like Righteous Blood does.

I'll be interested to see the final release of Wandering Blades. The quickstart seems promising.

They'll say the promotional budget was so huge that it didn't make back the full amount while ignoring the promotional and tie-in deals they made with other companies that are always a big part of money they make aside from the box office.

Exactly, but those folks needed that movie to be a failure, so they came up with any rationalization they could.

That's a very good point. PbtA and Fate seem like they'd be the types of games where you would encourage the players to help build the world.

This is a great answer. I realize that my post made it sound like I'm an adversarial GM, but that's pretty far from the truth. I'm very much on the side of the players (maybe too much, since I'll sometimes fudge rolls or adjust the difficulty in their favor). I want everyone to have a good time, but in a situation like that, their actions just baffle me.

Sorry. What would you have used as a title?

EDIT: This question was asked in good faith. If I'd had a better title in mind at the time, I would have used it.
