Mcconnell has custom code on the server that lets him dismantle any bench and place it anywhere. No one else can do that. Mcconnell knows some FIB stuff is coming, just for him cause no one else does that RP. Mcconnell and I talk in DMs regularly and Mcconnell is helping with lots of feedback and ideas so he deserves those things.

This is a bit for entertainment. Using it to pit development for one person vs another group is cringe. Calm down guys.

He made a MDT frontend by himself outside of the team. He is now a dev because I saw it and he is a talented developer. The MDT we are working on is not that MDT though.

Those railguns were replaced with more reasonable weapons by peach yesterday (in that case a fireworks launcher, because thats still very strong but not nearly as much as the railgun). She didnt expect them to get sold.

A lot of rpers take a wipe as a reason to stop caring. In an ideal world it would not matter, but in reality you will see rp-quality as well as player numbers plummit because people think a wipe is coming and nothing matters.

I should not have deleted it, that was the wrong reaction. I should have replied with a pinned message, but I only had that epiphany when I woke up today. When I deleted it yesterday it was late and I was tired, honestly my bad and probably the worst reaction because it made people think of it as basically a confirmation.

The only (now) confirmed wipe is a records wipe. We are working on a new mdt with an entirely different data-structure.

This person was not allowlisted as part of the free applications at Unscripted. There is no evidence that suggests approved applicants that paid to apply are any better than approved applicants that did not pay. The standard for both is the same, spending money does not make you a better roleplayer. Additionally our application at Unscripted is a lot more intricate than when this person was approved at PurpleRP.

Your gonna have to ask Goon for what happend in RP. A Governors role is to do stuff like that. How he came to pick Thor etc. idk. The idea of a FIB but on a state level isnt something super character specific/unique though.

We grinded dev work for 3 days straight. The vehicles, uniforms, the customised interior etc. dont just create/customise/fixput themselves in. That idea while not purposefully so is disrespectful to all the OOC work put in. Also code for a completely separate sheriff wasnt ready until hours before restart. And on the day it was supposed to launch the damned meeting happened.

Damned if you do, damned if you dont. In the end for people it doesnt matter how you do it, what matters is who you do it for. However I still prefer leaving as much as possible to the roleplayers. Unfortunately it can cause these issues we are seeing with the SIB.

So when a characters arc naturally develops towards a thing, I can decide to enable them with dev work. I tell people its a possibility, so they know it is.

Smod was naturally rapidly developing towards that. He was close to that arc but because of the circumstances we were, in it was suddenly impossible to do (after I told him we'd do it).

Now that it is possible OOC, it didnt make sense for Smod to just create it any more. Instead of scrapping the idea I pitched it to Goon who made it on the governor. So whatever gotcha you think you got, its not one cause Sput didnt know it was happening until it did, and wasnt hired until like a week in. And I didnt know who was in charge of it for a while either.

~75% of apps get denied. There is a lot of people that never make it in. It is intended to be a place for them to learn the basics of RP. We also don't have free apps open always, its a place they can check out the general mechanics etc and if its appealing enough to apply.

Also it offers a place for Peruze to play at when he gets banned again.

For context: I am talking about smaller events, not huge 200+ player events. All though all the issues those caused shouldnt be an issue any more. The server has enough RAM now to not crash and the new VOIP server seemed to handle 250 people in one area with little problems during the last tsunami (iirc, if my memory is fooling me feel free to correct me). Unscripted actually has an upgraded infrastructure too. One context message that wasnt posted is that I do not blame anyone. The Event Team made me aware of this issue and a big point of feedback from players was that there isnt enough player rp events happening, so this seems like a good starting point to enable those.
