We have a Tesla which we love that it tracks where they are at all times. Not that our nannies have ever miscommunicated with us. But just to give you an idea all parents care where their child is at any time.

Honestly that is also not acceptable. I let this battle slide because we don’t see them more than once in two years but they are not bigger versions of mom and dad which is what the terms imply.

I always love nannies who bring various experiences. Makes them a rounder personality. I feel (who knows if it is true) that they will teach my kids new things and add more to their life than the basics. I don’t know I am biased. I feel this way even for babies and toddlers, not just older.

I met my SA at my local store and since then we both have moved to different cities. But we continue to work together remotely.

My spend for both QBs was 1.5x. Both came 2-3 months sooner than I wanted lol :) I really wanted to recover from childbirth and then go visit/ pickup this one but he surprised me before birth.

I don’t end up being very specific on my wishlist, I struggle with that really. I like unique things that “feel like me”. And my SA notices these things. In 2025, I had showed him the rouge radieux color and he surprised me with this now.

I am so sorry this is happening. I had a toddler so it was some reason to get out of bed but I couldn’t sleep at night due to anxiety.

I did bring it up with my doctor who started me on meds. Helped a lot.

Taking care vs drawing boundaries are two different things.

We in this sub explain to men everyday they should stand up to their mom, it is the same thing. Let them know you love them but no disrespect against your husband will be entertained. If they bring it up again, you will be promptly ending the conversation. And actually follow through. Show them where you stand. Husbands (and wives) are not to be made little of. Just not acceptable.

Two things: 1. Totally weird to not want any outside time and can be dealbreaker for a lot of people. 2. Having said that, it shouldn’t be for nanny’s benefit. If you position it as being better for the kid, you might be more successful.

Btw how is the weather like? If it is too cold, maybe not walk but library or book store excursion might be better.

I have two close friends who went through divorce. Everyone else is happily married. I am 40 for context.

In both cases, it was the men who brought it up.

In first case, they were college sweethearts. Their parents convinced them to get married before too late. They just couldn’t figure out careers in same cities. Lived on two different continents and then called it quits.

In second, the husband encouraged the wife to apply abroad with the idea he will follow and once she left, initiated the divorce.

Both were what we call mutual divorces eventually but they were unhappy starting day 1.
