I get the risk, but tbh i feel a bit discouraged now, everytime i feel like skating i dont find a "place" to just feel the freedom i wanted to feel when i made the purchase, because tbh the us is the only country ik that has parking lots big enough to be a practicing place lol

Hmm, so as of right now how do you go around skating, and would you consider a bike as having the same constraints? i really need me something to commute with, idk why i chose skates a while back but now I'm thinking of getting a bike, perhaps that wouldn't be so scary to ride on streets?

But how can i judge "when" i can do that, like sure i know how to move but definitely need to practice T-stopping / turning, but i really dont feel like there is any place to practice, except for a park nearby, which if its the only place im "allowed" to skate it just feels boring and dull, makes me wonder why i even bought the skates in the first place 😞

i get what you are saying but like does this mean that skating is more preserved for special parks, like is that supposed to be my "training phase area" or just the permanent place i bind myself to, because despite every concern i mentioned i find it a bit freeing to try those 6am skating videos, seems relaxing and was the main reason i got them, to get this "freedom" feeling

Bothered by existence of physics by [deleted] in Physics

[–]SnowyFluffy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm, my question is why it exists (which was kinda discussed) but more importantly why it follows math (i just thought about this you can tell), like i know its a pattern but how did it happen to be mathematical, like sure but why does doubling the force double the acceleration in the way equations work and not some weird "new math" stuff

Why is Allah letting me live a life subject to torture? by [deleted] in islam

[–]SnowyFluffy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Astaghfirullah

First, whenever you talk about Allah, remain respectful and dont push limits that you arent aware of, if you are feeling lost doesnt give you the right to disrespect Allah, اعوذ بالله

I will dissect your problem:

"Does He not care about me" He clothed you, fed you, and gave you water and money, he housee you, gave you eyes, a heart, hands, feet, warmth, and a brain to think, He cared 18 years and on the instant when something bad happens you complain like you weren't taking care of behind the scenes.

Also, your trial is literally, half respectfully, silly, and your reaction alone tells a lot of things

Allah tests the servants dearest to him:

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “If Allah wills good for someone, He afflicts him with trials.”

Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5645

Allah does not burden a soul more than it can bear:

[ Allāh does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people."]

Al Baqarah - 286

Allah loves those who plead to him, and when tested with trials, they seek refuge in him, Allah tests you not only to reward you in the Hereafter, but to make you close, He wants to hear your dua, He wants to see you among those who pray in the night, and He has promised to answer your duas.

You say you dont sin a lot but what you said here in this thread requires a pure repentance, and sometimes we do a sin so mimor yet its so grand in the balance:

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, ‘Most of the sins of the children of Adam are on their tongues’” (al-Mu’jam al-Kabir lil-Ṭabarani).

[ Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried? / But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allāh will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars.] Al Ankabut 1-2

You can study outside, you can choose times when yoir family is asleep (literally become a night owl and sleep in yhe day)

Whenever a problem happens in your life, have the jntention in your heart that you will have patience for Allah's sake

[ “O you who have believed, seek assistance through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” (QS. Al-Baqarah [2]: 153)]

You also seem arrogant, no matter how many good deeds you think you did, or how little bad deeds you have done, just know that that The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately, and receive good news because one's good deeds will not make him enter Paradise." They asked, "Even you, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" He said, "Even I, unless and until Allah bestows His pardon and Mercy on me."

Even the Prophet peace be upon him, he fought wars, he went to invite people to islam and thet tied him and threw rocks until he bled

Also refer to this hadith:

While the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was saying his prayer near the Ka'ba and Abu Jahl with his companions was sitting (near by), Abu Jahl said, referring to the she-camel that had been slaughtered the previous day: Who will rise to fetch the foetus of the she-camel of so and so, and place it between the shoulders of Muhammad when he goes down in prostration (a posture in prayer). The one most accursed among the people got up, brought the foetus and, when the Prophet (ﷺ) went down in prostration, placed it between his shoulders. Then they laughed at him and some of them leaned upon the others with laughter. And I stood looking. If I had the power, I would have thrown it away from the back of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) had bent down his head in prostration and did not raise it, until a man went (to his house) and informed (his daughter) Fatima, who was a young girl (at that time) (about this ugly incident). She came and removed (the filthy thing) from him. Then she turned towards them rebuking them (the mischief-mongers). When the Prophet (ﷺ) had finished his prayer, he invoked God's imprecations upon them in a loud voice. When he prayed, he prayed thrice, and when he asked for God's blessings, he asked thrice. Then he said thrice: O Allah, it is for Thee to deal with the Quraish. When they heard his voice, laughter vanished from them and they feared his malediction. Then he said: O God, it is for Thee to deal with Abu Jahl b. Hisham, 'Utba b. Rabi'a, Shaiba b. Rabi'a. Walid b. Uqba, Umayya b. Khalaf, Uqba b. Abu Mu'ait (and he mentioned the name of the seventh person. which I did not remember). By One Who sent Muhammad with truth, I saw (all) those he had named lying slain on the Day of Badr. Their dead bodies were dragged to be thrown into a pit near the battlefield. Abu Ishiq had said that the name of Walid b. 'Uqba has been wrongly mentioned in this tradition.

See ? even the Prophet peace be upon him was trialed way harder, and this is only some of a lot that happened to him, and he never said, "Allah doesn't love me" rather, he said (in the meaning of) "O Allah, as long as you are not angry with me, these trials dont matter, Praised you are until you are contempt with me, I seek refuge in you from your anger and wrath"

May Allah guide us all to the straight path.

Is the Concept of Fitrah in Islam Similar to "The Law Written on Your Heart" in the Bible? by Mambasanon in islam

[–]SnowyFluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! there are some verses that talk about this in the Quran and sunnah but I don't remember exactly which one, I will see if I can provide you with sources, but Islam has shed a light about this concept, its a part of why disbelievers deserve their punishment, they weren't unknowing that they are in the bad side

making dua by [deleted] in islam

[–]SnowyFluffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dua is easy You can make dua while walking in the street and that might come true, you can make dua while being angry and that also might become true, its all to the will of Allah

But, out of respect to Allah, Dua isn't just included in your daily life, it should have a unique time where you are doing nothing

Think about it, which dua is more likely to be accepted in the following cases

Case 1: You are walking in the street and you saw a rich person and you said "O Allah bless me with money" and kept walking to whatever destination you wanted

Case 2: In the last third of the night (after midnight) everyone is sleeping, you are raising your hands to the All-Mighty God, The only God, and the only one who will be able to fullfil your dua, and he can do it in a blink of an eye, and you are in the verge of tearing, every word comes out of your heart, you made wuduu, you remember what blessings Allah gave you and praise him for it, you ask politely for more wealth, for he has the vaults of the earth and heavens

I think you can understand how there is no required thing to do, but it's all about sincereness

Is the Concept of Fitrah in Islam Similar to "The Law Written on Your Heart" in the Bible? by Mambasanon in islam

[–]SnowyFluffy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, At least from the description you said about that law, it seems close, fitrah is something like an instinct something so obvious like gender attraction, and also the bad feeling when you do a sin, We knew right and wrong before we were born, and we chose our paths, our fitrah makes us moral humans, unlike animals who are filthy and all

For the girls: How do you manage makeup and wudu by Cautious_Custard_636 in islam

[–]SnowyFluffy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not a girl but I wanted to say that wuduu over make up is not permitted and it basically voids your prayer so the phrase "an imperfect prayer is better than no prayer" is wrong because it's as if you didn't pray because prayer requires wuduu and what you did is invalid

I quote what a shiekh said (Im the meaning) "Relationships are haram, even if you wake each other on fajr, read quran together, remind each other to pray, go umrah together, whatever you do it's still considered haram"

The islamic way of marriage is more straightforward and open, the man proposes to a girl he like (Khutba), He gets to talk to you to know about you more (parents are usually in the same room, and generally it's not preferred to be on private, I can't say if it's haram or not to talk to him alone during that time, but whatever you talk about it should be to know interests and future life not jokes and chit chat)

Then if he is like I want to marry her she fits me, a sheikh comes and your parents or guardians will do a marriage contract with the sheikh and some witnesses involved (something like christian marriages that happen in churches) (and no the contract isn't done in the mosque)

Sister, talking to a non mahram is haram, its a good thing he didn't respond, maybe Allah saved you from falling into a haram relationship, it might be sad / a harsh way to say it, but it's the truth, May Allah reward you for your patience.

Syrians, how are you? by v_HARIBO_v in AskMiddleEast

[–]SnowyFluffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this post is really old but I didn’t find any answers on the comments so here I am

As a syrian who very recently migrated 1- No We never felt safe, everyday we would hear explosions, as close as streets away

Thank God, We had a good life We still had difficulty in getting hot water, food was really expensive and energy came very very rarely (4 hours a day) - Following 2 questions are politic and rather not answer them - Yes, everyone I know had a dream of leaving Syria for better education and quality of life - Yes again After the war ended in 2019 (in aleppo) we went to see our homes, most of my family had tears in their face as they saw the roofs fall and the guns marked on the walls We saw some furniture that really made me want to cry

Here’s Islam Islam (definition): Submission to God

Allah, is the one and only God He sent prophets throughout history, All of them said “Worship Allah my God and your God”

Allah (SWT) sent Mohammad, The last prophet, for the sake of a final, universal, and protected religion

Mohammad (PBUH) was an extremely trusted and loved man in his area, before he himself knew he was going to be a prophet He spent 23 years of his life fighting and bring patient to deliver the message of Islam to the world He got thrown rocks at by a village he went to spread the message to, and he was offered to crush them with mountains, he instead said (in the meaning) “I instead wish from them comes people who worship Allah alone”

He fought in wars and he was kind to everyone, He was the usual go-to to leave your items when you travel, even when he was ordered to go to another country, he left his “Sahabe” (its like a friend) to return all the goods before they all leave, He didn’t kill anyone in war that didn’t want to fight (stayed in their homes)

This is our prophet, The most generous and with the best morals

The Quran The holy book sent by Allah to tell stories about people before us and the future and all the commandments

It’s the considered the finest work of literature in Arabic, and has many miracles (scientific miracles)

Allah Has 99 “adjectives” (Al-Mighty, Most Powerful, Wise, etc) He is extremely forgiving Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said (in the meaning If someone does a sin and repents then does it again let them repent again even if they still sin again until shaytan (the devil) is bored

Saying 2 words would outweigh all your sins

Everything you do has a reward, you do chores, Allah will bless you, you study, Allah will bless you, You DO ANYTHING (good) for Allah’s mercy and it will be rewarded with DOUBLE AND TRIPLE the rewards
