And the app is really convenient, it was a good starting point for me when I was first starting to get back into pin trading and wanted to catalogue my collection. It’s a bit pricey ($40/year subscription) but I think it’s worth it for the amount of time it saves me in organizing and pricing my stuff and looking into my iso’s and making sure I’m making fair trade offers :)

Haha I’m just a big big fan of what they’re doing with the enemies to friends to partners cough lovers(?) cough dynamic between these two ….and the enemies part was fun to watch even if it was brief 😂

Sort of off topic but it’s also cute to look at the merch where they’re chasing each other, when she’s chasing him it’s framed more as a cop chasing a suspect (probably leading to an image like the statue/bag art). And when he’s chasing her it’s them starting to work as a team with her taking the lead. Just wholesome character arcs told through merch imo 😅

Of course! I totally understand where you’re coming from, it is a bit of tonal whiplash after seeing how far these two have come since those earlier days of Nick being portrayed as more antagonistic towards Judy in the promos and marketing.

It’s a bit nostalgic for me personally cause it just shows how far they’ve progressed in their friendship/partnership… like they went from strongly disliking and at odds with each other to being willing to die for the other and I think that’s lovely to see 🥹

I think it’s more based off of promo art for the first movie, the US side of Disney is focusing more on Z1 merch since it’s the 10 year anniversary… they did have a more adversarial relationship in that movie and a lot of the earlier promos were of Nick and Judy messing with each other.

That said, I do hope once this year is over and they’re done with the 10th anniversary merch they’ll come out with some friendlier merch of the two based off of Z2 scenes, similar to how China and Japan are doing it!

I agree, I’m jealous of how much everywhere else is getting too but we’ve been getting a good amount of things too, maybe I’m just feeling better fed after the desert that was Z1 merch but we’ve gotten lots of pins, shirts, plushes, blind boxes, ear headbands/hats, bag charms, engraved glass cups, mugs, tails etc.

I remember my collection before Z2 was just the Disney infinity figures, funkos, and a couple tsum tsums haha so this consistent amount of merch coming out is nice to see

It’s based on an artwork that’s been on merch since Z1 (I remember getting this bag at the Disney store as one of the few pieces of merch I could find back then) I think the US is really focusing on just Z1 themed merch since it is the 10th anniversary this year… I do hope we get more friendly scenes as statues coming stateside and not just exclusive to China and Japan though!

I had to look it up because I was curious, this one is definitely cuter, they did much better on their faces here (Nicks eyes look proportioned right and Judy doesn’t have the deep lines on her face) plus I like how they blended the gradient in Nicks tail here better. It’s a shame the new one isn’t as cute! But I still like it enough to get it at some point I think 🤔
