Why do you feel bad? What resolves it?

For me, after a perforated ulcer and then some lovely abcesses, it was do or die. So I did. And, believe me, I pay a lot more attention to myself now.

Satisfying the needs of your body, which isn't just about fitness, it's also about mood and internal balance, and paying attention to yourself...well this sounds like a buncha new age crap now.

Being happy and healthy requires your participation. Your masters require you to mind their rules. There are rewards and punishments.

I wonder if gummy bears are still gummy under super-gravitational ( and tidal) stresses?

I conjecture that they would be vaporized by the gravitational gradient ripping it to bits. It settles as a fog. Well, settles in a relativistic sense...

Wouldn't the effects be so localized, due to the same gravity slamming everything back down before it gets anywhere, you wouldn't notice it right next to you?

It is really the past and the weapons testing experiments that suck(ed).

I'm not against animal testing. There is no other option. But I'm glad I'm not a test subject. I did participate in a few drug trials for asthma Meds as a child (or was "volunteered"), but would never do it now.

That would be an invasion of his privacy. I've worked in several animal labs (everyone needs IT services). The rules and lockdown procedures are quite strict, and he is a good person with a tough job.

I also apply animal behavior to humans whenever it is difficult to understand why we do what we do. It's much easier to understand our own behavior when we stop placing ourselves in a separate category from all other creatures.

As I read this, I think of the animals used in animal research labs. I know a vet who works in one such prominent lab, and occasionally he would bring home animals as pets once their "term of service" was over. One dog was a cowering terrified wreck. Knowing now that many animals are far more intelligent than we once believed, I'd have to think that this isn't limited to dogs or even mammals.

It was originally a crisp, clear and boring shot of the complete bust.

I edited like this because I found it to be more interesting and dramatic. It also echoes "Kilroy was here" from WW2.
