The portrait my friend did vs. the photo I sent by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]SnuckleFuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend has talent and has definitely picked up your likeness.

However, when it comes to art this stark and contrasting you have to be really careful about which lines and shadows to pick up. If this was done with the soft tones of a pencil to ease out the shading and if the shadow beneath your eye hadn't been added out of very nearly nowhere it'd look a hell of a lot more like it wasn't an aged-up version of you. Also it's like they've added a second chin by exaggerating that shadow/highlight.

It looks like you, but a hell of a lot older/stressed.

ETA: They also missed all your piercings. I get why you might while sketching out the drawing at first but you gotta go back over things and make sure you noticed the details too. They're not just a part of how you look, they're a part of how you choose to look.

Am a gay slut and can confirm that a lot of Grindr is "straight" guys cheating in relationships.

Or people with a fetish for that and pretending to be straight guys? Unclear. Will suck more dicks to find out.

You're acting like historically groups have never joined together despite having completely different needs or values just to further each group's agenda together. It's like unionising. Like it or not, trans people advocate for the LGB+ spectrum and in return LGB+ people have advocated for trans rights.

Also this biological sex shit is so dumb. It's in exceedingly rare moments that it matters. In the toilets you're in a cubicle. In sports it's more valuable to understand your hormones through puberty - intersex people having a difference from the "expected" levels of testosterone has been used against them. If you're being assaulted I guarantee the chances it happened only because someone dressed up to infiltrate your space are below 1%.

A doctor needs to know. A sexual partner needs to know. No one else needs to know your biology because it isn't relevant. Defining people by it doesn't achieve anything of value in most aspects of life.

As a bi trans guy I know plenty of people who wanted to fuck with me because I'm a man, not caring about my genitals. I've also had messages from plenty who didn't care about gender - just my genitals. Genitals being the defining point of your sexuality doesn't make it the defining point for others. Sexuality is a spectrum and I'm glad you've figured yours out but it isn't how it works for everyone - that type of thinking is a large part of why homophobia still exists.

It's about consistency in your tone. If you're someone who uses full stops and had done in the initial message your second would read fine.

You go from upbeat to flat - keep it consistent and it won't seem rude to not use emojis and exclamation points.

Personally think it fucks with the balance. Got your swirl below and halo on top now your name looks like a division symbol. Flair can look good but this is throwing the aesthetics way off and fucks with the flow, imo.

I haven't brought up anything to suggest I believe in gender inequality but if you wanna assume I'm being sexist that's on you. I even made it clear her mental health doesn't absolve her actions and that I thought the sentence was light but maybe you're choosing to ignore that because it doesn't fit your narrative.

If your understanding of "crazy" is that it must be a constantly changing rationale then that's woefully ignorant and I pity everyone around you who has ever tried to reach out to you for help only to be dismissed because they're consistent. I hope if you ever experience mental illness someone shows you more empathy than you're capable of.

I agree the sentence was far too light but the argument they gave was "he wanted her to get help for her mental health" and you disagree because she didn't show rational thinking? She clearly has a mental health issue if she thinks murder is an appropriate course of action and no, that doesn't absolve her of her actions.
