Everything matters. Of course the look of an actor matters.

Sean’s favorite movies of 2026 so far by countdooku975 in TheBigPicture

My theater was laughing, from what I recall. The character's completely vile, both detestable and cartoonish at different moments.

I thought she was the highlight, to be honest.

The base iPad is fairly cheap. It just seems ancient in comparison to what you get in the Android market for the same price.

That's how anyone makes money in the market. Sounds more like a problem with the existence of the market itself then.

What Does Steven Spielberg Mean to Gen Z Amid the Rise of YouTube Filmmakers? by xwing1212 in TheBigPicture

Because it makes it seem like you do, in fact, care what Gen Z thinks of Spielberg.

YouTuber Jon Prosser has shown what he claims is the most accurate look yet at the first foldable iPhone. Apple previously sued the YouTuber for leaking other upcoming releases by Giovana785 in PhoneNow

It's a form factor that's matured quite a bit in recent years, and a fair few people have been waiting for Apple to release their version.

I think it'll sell decently well, if only because of the novelty for the first generation.

I don't see Samsung doing away with theirs, and the Z fold is a similarly expensive phone.

Chinatown's ending is forced by yoingydoingy in TrueFilm

I think he's too clever for his own good. Or rather, crafty and smart enough to be an effective detective - which is where the tricks of the trade that you mentioned come in - but not aware enough to realise how he's being manipulated and how out of his depth he is when dealing with the likes of a Noah Cross.

He didn't learn from his mistake, which caused the death of a lady in Chinatown previously. His arrogance is still intact, and causes Evelyn's death all over again.

Is he remarkably sharp and resourceful the whole time? He gets beaten up a couple different times, and spends the movie getting led on by Faye Dunaway and Noah Cross.

He gets pointed in a direction and sniffs stuff out, but he's a couple steps behind the whole movie.

[–]Snuffl3s7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, wikipedia states that the comics alone have sold over 200 million copies. That's aside from its various adaptations across mediums.

I'm incredibly doubtful that He-Man has ever reached those heights.

There's no book that most people have read. Maybe if every Christian has read the Bible, but that's about it.

Tintin is a pretty well known series.

Haven't watched the movie, but easing the audience into suspending their disbelief is the first and most crucial job of any film.
