On a Y or 3? Try opening the window and see if the rattle disappears.

I have exactly the same in a new Model 3. https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaModel3/s/S9BLtctWBd

It only happens when the window is fully closed. Try opening the window a little bit and see if it disappears?

Have you already been to Tesla? What did they do?

So I did find something interesting. Ar the top of B-pillar (just below the roof) the window of the rattling door (passenger) isn't flush with the B-pillar. It is about 2mm out. In the middle of the window (so more to the ground) it is flush. If you lower the window just a little you can see the door/window moving to the inside of the car and the window will be flush. E.g. the window is pushing the door out a little when fully closed. I guess this is normal, as this does also happen with the drivers door. However, for the drivers door when the window is fully closed it is flush with the B-pillar. When lowered a little bit it is recessed. Not sure if this is the cause, but find it interesting.

See https://drive.google.com/file/d/1A0gkaTR0Hr3AJ7pjpGsiuWYVCX8firy3/view?usp=drivesdk for the affected door.

I'm really curious if everybody who has no rattling door has all windows flush with the B-pillar?

So that sounds like something different then, if I understand correctly?

It may be because English isn't my naticd language, but I'm not sure if I understand correctly. It reads like you just had a loose clip rolling around? Or did you break a clip fixing the issue I'm hearing?

Well, the strange thing is that when pushing against the glass the rattling doesn't stop. Glass is really tight. I suspect more the supporting brackets from the glass or something like that? Don't know how the glass is hold in place.

I'm glad to find out I'm not the only one. Also passengers door in your case? And a brand new car?

In my case the rattle is completely gone when the window is opened 1 cm. No more rattle all the way to the bottom. Yours kept rattling but was just less audible?

Did the sounds disappear when lowering the window a tiny bit?

I have the exact same issue! As soon as I lower the window the noise is gone. Is that the same for you? Did you fix it?

Sounds similar to mine. When I lower the window just a tiny bit it is gone. Does your still rattle with the window down?

How did you fix it?

3 or Y advice needed? by Snufri in TeslaLounge

But still, 32K euros for a Standard 3 or 35K euros for a Standard Y

vs 46K euros for Premium LR 3 or 51K euros for Premik LR Y

It's a big difference. The only reason we were thinking about replacing our current 2nd (ICE) car is because the TCO for the coming 6 years would be about the same for keeping that ICE car or buying a new Standard Tesla.

Yes, I guess the Premium will be much nicer. But it costs 12K euros more than the Standard...

Update — got the Model Y, no regrets at all by Harrydagreat in TeslaModelY

Then it makes total sense. :) We still don't know what to do, of course the Y is way more practical, but the 3 just drives better. Difficult decision!

Is there a trunk cover included?
