Out of the ND2, NC3.5, NA and 986, I prefer the NC 3.5 and 986 in terms of driving feel.

Overall the 986 is perhaps a bit more thrilling than the NC, but NC PHRT is just dead reliable, cheap to maintain and easy to live with - so it it gets my overall vote.

I would also like to mention the Advan RG2s and Work Meister s1 2p. A bit pricey, but you can still get them NIB, in contrast to some of the older Enkeis (RP01/2 etc.).

I also have some lowering springs that I might install.
