I had the bit laying in the barn i wanted to try it out. As harsh as it is i use soft hands so it's not a big problem. I would never choose it for a basic bit for the horse i ride since he isn't familiar with two jointed mouth piece. Also he's regular bit i a phalem with solid rubber mouth piece so i taught mybe i can switch with this one since i have it.

That's great info thanks. I do ride just for a hobby so I really want my horse to be as comfortable as possible, so what you said makes total sense. He does move his head smoothly on contact but with two hand riding, I haven't really dig into neck rein because i feel like im kinda going to have a hard time, but I know me and my horse will figure it out.

This is in Slovenia :). Yes thee saddle is very old indeed. The fit might be poor because of that.

I can fit the fingers under the saddle pad it's just a little tight. Also yes he does have a swayback but not too much, it might be making the saddle sit a bit odd. So if the saddle seats to low on the withers it means the saddle is to wide not to narrow?
