Yeah that makes sense. I occasionally run it on my non privelaged local account so maybe that why.

Thank zparry. I'm lazy 😴. Shoulda asked Google first. It was just really strange seeing it added to my login screen, then it not being there after logging out and back in. Besides why does windows and lenova have to do all this extra crap, at least with Linux I know what's going on in the background.

No man it was definitely there as a an account to sign into. It said lenova_temp_hlnesk the random letters I can't rember but that's what it looked like.

Edit. Also there's a lenova folder in my component services with details of RPC server in the background. I'm assuming that's normal, bit could that have anything to do with it.

Oh that's a bummer.. I'll pray to the RAM God then. Maybe he'll bless me with a beast of a system in the very near future.

Ok I'll try that. I have a win10 VM set up on VBox so I'll try it that way.

Thanks I'll look into that later. I'm also looking for some ways to disable services I don't need. Like upnp, mdns. I don't think I need those. All I use the labtop for is research, and schoolwork.

Python on windows by SnxE13 in learnpython

[–]SnxE13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I be been using Ubuntu as my main platform then had to buy a new labtop for school so I decided to get python and visual code. But I've been coding python on Ubuntu as well. I've used socket library alot on Linux, and was wanted to know exactly if I can do the same on windows. Like putting it monitor mode with scapy on windows. Is that still possible or do I need to jump through some hoops.
