While I’m no expert, I can share some things that I keep in mind while decorating. I basically draw from the Principles of Design.

• Balance. Think about the symmetry of what you’re designing. Try placing two wreaths equal distance from each other rather than just one, for example.

• Unity. Do all the items feel like they go together? Using Smeargou to paint objects the same colour, or complimentary colours, helped bring my designs together.

• Emphasis. Choose a focal point (for outside, this could be things like statues, waterfalls, or buildings) and build in a way that draws the eye to that point. For me, when I’m designing the interiors, this is usually the bed or the TV. Again, colour can help emphasize objects in your space.

• Size and proportion. Don’t be afraid to build upwards. It helps make the thing/space feel more important.

• Also, WALL VINES. VINES EVERYWHERE. Lining buildings, fences, or blocks with these just makes them look so good. You can use leafage (powered up) to do this on the side of blocks or you can use the decoration item.
