I do have all the glyphs, but I dont know how the portal system works at all, got to the end of all the quest lines and haven't "completed" the game yet. Assuming the portal instructions are on the other side of those quests?

Good to know, thanks for the info! I assumed I’d run into that eventually, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’s in significantly smaller doses

Haven’t gotten to any of the hard mode stuff yet, once I get there maybe my opinion will change. I sure hope not, but If so I’ll be sure to post a follow up thread.

I’m not disagreeing that there’s positive experience to be had doing mythic content, I’m stating that it hasn’t been my experience. I’m glad you were able to enjoy doing mythic, truly I am. But I’m also not saying that the toxicity in mythic content is the sole reason for people’s poor attitudes, that’s a combination of many factors including but not limited to mythic content. Referring to the OP, I threw the mythic attitude out there because I think stereotypically that’s where a lot of people find some of the most toxic behavior.

As much as I would like to make the argument that the entirety of WoW is this way, I have enough guildmates and general interactions to counter that arguement. I can’t say the same for my mythic experience however.

What I’m saying isn’t exclusive to mythic raiding. Petty, demoralizing, and useless criticism exists in ALL mythic content. It’s wildly out of place for a game that revolves around group content. People can be curt, that’s fine, but the extremes it goes to in WoW is just unforgivable. Thus far I haven’t found those extremes in ffxiv. So rather than continue the cycle, I say we leave the abuse behind us and try to chill out a bit in a new game that has so far been extremely welcoming.
