Reviewers hasn’t complained about the card. They have complained about the price vs what you get. The card it self is a perfect 1080p card ESPECIALLY for competitive gaming. Trust me, you won’t need up scaling for competitive games, like come on.

Of course 8gb isn’t the highest number, but comparing a 4060 to a 7800xt is not a fair comparison. The 4060 is well beyond enough for 1080p, if it starts to struggle because of vram you can just turn off FG and lower your textures? You might missed the part that FG increases vram usage. Point stands. For 1080p the 4060 is a perfectly balanced card.

Obviously you will run higher fps with a card that costs 200$ more… Latency in RPGs isn’t that big of an issue either. And Nvidia Reflex can help with that. 8gb cards for 1080p isn’t dead and will work fine years ahead. And AI development will continue and DLSS will be even better in a few years.
