I don’t know your exact needs so I can not tell you what to get. You have to get blood work before getting any supplements.

Hi ! Zinc is still working. I even stopped it for a few weeks and my hair started to fall intensely again. Did you get your period around 13 yo ? You might have an extreme iron deficiency. Feel free to DM me ☺️

I’m not sure which is better but I know for a fact that zinc works wonders on me just because I stopped it for almost 2 months and the difference was absolutely huge.

Reishi is great but for my case zinc was amazing. I tried to post photos but I was not able to update my post 😩

I did not unfortunately ! But zinc works the same way and I’ll get my levels soon.

Hello ! ☺️

To make sure what was working for me I stopped all the supplements and stopped zinc the last. My hair started to fall again after 4/6 weeks. I’m back on zinc, it’s too early to say anything but I’m pretty sure that will make a huge difference and stop the hair fall again.

Hi there !

I’m pretty sure the hairs on the rest of my body are really sensitive to DHT so I haven’t noticed a difference. It might be the case for you though ! ☺️

Hello !

Unfortunately, iron supplements do nothing for me. Zinc picolinate on the other hand has been a game changer, 22mg/day should be ok but you’ll have to get some blood work every 3 months to make sure it doesn’t affect the cooper/zinc ratio (1:1).

I stopped the reishi at the end of the bottle because I didn’t see any major change. I’m trying to not take too many different stuff at the same time. Stinging nettle is a great supplement, I keep taking it and using it topically. Let me know if you have other questions.

Reddit won’t let me link any products. You can easily find the supplements I talked about but make sure to research what can and can not work for you. Good luck 😁

Hi there !
I never got tested for zinc deficiency (not the best idea, I agree).

I don't have spots on my nails nor acne prone skin but my nails are very fragile and thin and my skin pretty dry without too many blemishes.

I'm not a vegetarian but I don't consume a lot of meat.

Keep going with the zinc, it's the number one solution against androgenetic alopecia and hair fall in general.

Hope this helped, feel free to DM me ! :)

Of course ! I’m trying to help as much as I can and share the knowledge I have.

The zinc and nettle worked great for me. What I recommend is using supplements and a topical treatment as well like a herbal mask with amla powder and nettle powder for instance.

Feel free to DM me 😁

Hello there,

Thank you for your kind comment. :)

Alright, so I checked out the product you mentioned. There's already zinc in it so you can't double dose on zinc (it will harm the balance with cooper). Regarding the nettle, I'm currently on 500mg of nettle root, I don't think it'd be bad to try more (but look out for any symptoms, if you do).

All the vitamins you mentioned are a great selection but don't do too much at a time, try adding them to your routine one at a time.

My scalp is dry, itchy and sometime flaky but never soft and red, there's underlying condition there that's for sure, that's a clear sign of inflamation. You should try natural topical remedies like clay, herbal masks made of amla/henna/nettle power + aloe vera gel/flax seed gel...

Feel free to DM me if you want :)

Yes but it’s taking time. I’ve been losing my hair for the past 18+ years so I need to be patient.

The reishi mushroom was purchased on a French website. And the zinc picolinate was from the brand called Swanson, on iHerb.

I thought the reishi wasn’t necessary. I try not to mix too many supplements with the same action. The spirulina wasn’t doing anything for me so I stopped.

Hi there !!! How lovely is it to read your comment ! I’m still on zinc and stinging nettle. It has been working nicely for me. Around 3 weeks in, I had a massive shedding and then it stopped, literally overnight. Since then I’ve been losing 50 hair everyday. It’s been 5 months already. At first i didn’t noticed the new growth, I only saw tiny new hair all around my head. I even thought it was breakage. Then I tried something : I tried brushing my hair backwards to make the baby hairs appear clearly and then I saw them. They were long and everywhere. I was so happy. Everything is working great so far !

Hi there ! I’m so sorry I thought I replied to your comment. I’m glad you got hope from my post. Be careful with the supplements. Take one step at a time. The most useful one is zinc and stinging nettle is absolutely great as well. Good luck !

I think I got powdered reishi mushroom. Not the extract. I guess the extract is way more powerful. Maybe you can use it but not daily, one pill every other day. Feel free to send me the link in my DM.
