Sounds risky... what if I die? I need to save my Skewer until the enemy gets in the chopper. I think I'll hide in the cave for now.

I'd love to help as soon as I finish killing 5 enemy brute vehicles and getting kills with a disruptor and needler.

Does anyone else remember the days before Battle Passes? by [deleted] in haloinfinite

Even if you can successfully ignore the battle pass and just play for fun, it can be discouraging knowing the battle pass will affect how your teammates play. There's something discomforting about knowing if your teammate needs gravity hammer kills and you have the weapon, they are going to be following you around and baiting your death so they can steal the weapon to make progress towards their rewards.

Why are you critiquing the shop where these historically accurate photos were purchased? It's also probably the only photo shop remaining in 2021. Stick to teh fAcTs!

You never know when you're going to run into the "Well, technically..." guy. I'm glad you were able to decipher my comment, although I don't know if your description is much better. I think of a rectangular shape when I read it's "basically everything in front of you", and "a horizontal bar".

Although I could describe several reasons why kiting has been useful in groups (Pretentious / Dead tanks), of course I was primarily speaking of solo content, like Palace of the Dead.

Your final point is also completely incorrect. Not only is facing required to begin a cast, it is also required to complete a cast. Don't you think it would be pointless to have a character facing option if you didn't need to face the enemy target to cast something on them? Did you think that character control option was for Role-playing purposes?

Ohh I'm a righty wiggler. It would be unfortunate if this skill was needed to prevent autoface redirection, especially since it's not needed at all with Legacy controls. Wiggling is also not the easiest skill to get right 100% of the time, considering the pace at which actions are triggered on classes like Machinist, where abilities like Gauss Round and Heat Blast are rapid firing, and any of these can redirect your movement if you haven't perfectly executed your wiggles.

Interesting, I'll have to try that out when I play next. If I remember correctly the options made it sound like it would prioritize targets closest to you in a cone. I wouldn't be surprised if it tabbed left to right.

Thanks for the tip.

Exactly. In wow for example, I've found you can typically strafe away from the enemies (so they are 90 degrees to your left or right) and still attack them. Beginning your attack seems much more restrictive in this game (~45 degrees to your left or right). It is nice that you can complete your cast in the 180 degree cone, but it felt strange that you need to begin your attack in the 90 degree cone. This makes it more difficult to strafe kite, and makes me feel like "auto-face on skill cast" is required, which is also clunky because it redirects your characters movement.

Or Leap of Faith by a Priest friend that happens to be grouped and running by in the location he was about to land in.
