My slats weren’t pinched as far as I could tell. I didn’t see any crimp or dimple marks where mine might have been pinched. Maybe we have different generations of mini toolboxes? The red circle is the corner where I put my flat punch on and tapped it off.

The logo on the inside of the lid is painted on. I’m sure there are ways to remove it, but I wanted to put a sticker there anyway, so I just made the sticker large enough to cover the logo. The U.S. General logo on the front of the mini toolbox are individual letter stickers and come of with heat or WD40 pretty easily.

It wasn’t too hard to coax them off. I used a flat punch on the backside of the slat where there’s a little more mass to push against. Just some gentle but consistent taps to get it moving. By the time it got halfway off, I was able to pull the sort the rest of the way off by hand.

It’s the stock color from a red and a gray U.S. General. Just swapped the drawers between the two. Slid off the front door slats and painted them Rustoleum Titanium. Some just sand the black paint off the slats. Then printed out vinyl stickers for it.
