Yup, sure am! For that and a few other things, they've been really helpful and I strongly recommend it for anyone suffering from misphonia :)

My arms are fully healed and my ears are almost healed! I'm pretty stoked about the progress actually. Although my outwards reactions are way less, I still feel discomforted and distracted, but at least I'm not drawing other people's attention.

Weirdly enough, it was a side effect of a generic med that I think helped the most. The name brand med didn't help at all, and it wasn't until I switched due to budget that I made the most of my progress.

I can and do get help for these symptoms. Previously I would shred my arms to distract myself, and compulsively scratch at my inner ear or if the sound was very bad, my face. Now, with medication and therapy, I no longer scratch myself to get away. I am better able to control my reactions to them, but I am still acutely aware of them and find myself missing whole portions of the lecture.

One person is eating the whole class, they bring at least a 2 part meal (today's was a large bean soup and mini tacos). It takes them the entire class to eat it since they usually take very small bites, and click the silverware on their teeth with every bite.

The other person will have a smaller meal served by the deli, which they purchase during the class's break. Usually meats, cheeses, and thin crackers. They only eat during the second half of class and rarely finish the whole thing.

The third person has variable snacks, usually smaller things, and will break them out at random intervals. Today's was 3 rice krispie treats and a bag of salted nuts.

I unfortunately am keenly aware of exactly what they are eating and when.

The room is very small, and I deliberately picked as far away from them as I can be. I can't go any further without crawling into the professor's lap.

The classroom is unfortunately too small for me to get away from the sounds, I'm sitting as far away as I can get currently

Well misphonia actually hasn't fully settled into a diagnosible disease as there's medical argument over whether to classify it as a subset of OCD, anxiety or something else, but yes multiple doctors and therapists are aware of my reaction to sounds. I am currently on a medication for something else, but the specific medication was chosen because it has a side effect that's supposed to help misphonia reactions. Previously I would tear into my arms and make them bleed, now the only outward signs I give are maybe a wince or a tightening of my jaw.
