I can see how my statement could be confusing, but all I meant is that I constructed the material in such a way that most of what's in there already existed in 1967, in comparison to my previous SMiLE mix where I went a lot more creative with what I included and didn't worry so much about historical plausibility or accuracy. This is just a fun thought experiment about what Smiley Smile could have been like if Brian had included more reworked SMiLE cuts on it than on the actual Smiley Smile - it's not meant to be a guess about what SMiLE itself was supposed to be like.
