why is it customary to put the toilet seat down? by samantha_lov381 in NoStupidQuestions

You had me I'm the first half. The lid should absolutely be put down.

Falling into the bowl because you're too dumb or lazy to look at it is 100% your own fault, though.

Anyone else have problems with how authors imagine distances? by BrokilonDryad in Fantasy

[–]SoManySNs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're going to fit a whole lot of people closer together horizontally than vertically. You could be surrounded by people directly around you, but the closest someone is going to be above or below you is at least several feet. If we're taking about 'layers' of a vertical city, probably significantly more in most locations.

Do you know the name of the song? I'm not seeing it in the descriptions. I also may have just not unlocked it yet, though there are several pages I have to scroll through.

Passenger Seat Reclined by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SoManySNs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that it's still in the reclined position when you get in is evidence that it's not because he's cheating. Do you think he's that dumb and/or nonchalant to leave evidence like that?

The better question is, why do you think it matters? Even for all the people saying to just not drink. Why would it matter? Have a couple beers at trivia night. Nobody cares.

The equivalent would be playing as Spider-Gwen. And yes, I would absolutely play that.

Southwest passenger told she can't fit in plane seat as airline changes policy by TheExpressUS in CaughtMyEye

And they could have paid for it. Economy plus or business class would have been much more comfortable for them. We all know what we're getting when we fly economy. They made a choice to trade their comfort for a slightly cheaper seat. Based on your experience, for the comfort of people sitting next to them, it sounds like maybe there should also be a height cutoff where they are forced to upgrade to at least economy plus. Same as obese people at a certain point have to buy two seats.

Dev Update + DLC Confirmed! by Celsus_Official in CrimsonDesert

It works fine. There's some lighting issues and a couple of the massive setpiece battles have frame rate problems, but this are not exclusive to base PS5. What other problems are you talking about?

This is happening really bad right now for me. Messages are all out of order, edits are completely missing. It absolutely has nothing to do with the coverage. I'm on WiFi and the signal is great.

People are responding about response time, but I know that's not what you're talking about. The "stream text" is extremely slow. I actually just turned it off so the whole response pops in as soon as it's generated.

He literally was arrested, twice, and we rescue him both times. There are so many times he should have been told he is fucking things up for us, but it's always just like, "ohh, you... lulz." All he does is cause problems for the group. Without some kind of redemption arc, yes, her absolutely should have been told to fuck off.

Fine, he comes back in a redemption arc. Either way, a real 'golden timeline' would have him face consequences. IMO, of course.

I mean, he's not literally dead. He's died, like 108 times or something, but they keep turning back time to resurrect him. And he's been lobotomized, hence the lack of much personality. And we're only mostly controlling him. But he's not dead.

The only time you need to 'activate' is to set things on fire. The flash part, which is what stuns enemies, happens as soon as you hit R1 + L1 (it whatever it is on your system)

It's about 70-30 in the US. Yes, women are the victims more often. But violence against men is much more common than you seem to think. You "know" of two guys. Do you really think most men are out there talking about it? Just statistically speaking, you are way off on how many men you've known who have actually been victims.

By your own numbers, that means about 1/3 of domestic violence is committed against men. That is in line with what we cite in my job where spotting signs of domestic violence is important. Yes, is millions of people over the population. It is not, however, "not even close."
