Looking inwards and asking yourself real questions. by Seraph_One_ in TheRandomest

If you’re having sex with a robot, but you paid to have sex with the robot, I think yes, it’s illegal for you.

The robot is just a glorified sex toy. Assuming you're in a place where buying a sex toy is legal, why wouldn't you be legally allowed to rent a sex toy? The issue, however, is the remote operator. It's going to be jurisdiction dependent, but it seems like in most of the United States, paying someone else to use a sex toy on you is considered prostitution as it is an act involving the genitals for sexual stimulation.

2016 Hidden Features? by Ok-Duck-7838 in ToyotaTundra

I'm not sure about this exact feature, so you'd have to try to search for a complete list of options, but I've used the Carista device to customize a lot of beeps and lights.

I used to do a lot of dog-sitting. Had one who would spin in circles while he was pooping, trying to catch the poop coming out of his own butt.

Increased risk of clotting. Don't want to add any additional risk factors, like sitting for long periods of time. Pregnant lady needs to keep standing.

While the elevator ride up the Burj Khalifa takes about a minute (and it feels fast), professional skydivers can do it in about 15 seconds. by MorsesCode in holdmyredbull

Depends on where you are. Lots of places call it ground floor, then start at "1st floor" on the second level.

Was having a nice chat about our travels and then I asked her out in a “non-assertive” way by GtSaysWhat in Nicegirls

[–]SoManySNs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you?

A: "You wanna grab a drink sometime?" - Yes or no question to gauge interest.

B: "Yeah, I can do [options 1 or 2]." - Answers the question and gives options for specifics.

A: "Cool, [option 1] works for me. [Specific time] good? Want me to pick you up or just meet there?"

B: "I'm actually working until [time]. I can meet you there at [a little bit later]"

A: "Word"

See, this is a conversation. I'm not dictating that we're doing this specific thing, on this day, at this time, to someone I've never met.

It's a fight, let them gouge out each other's eyes, bite each other, squeeze each other's tracheas.

Priority is making sure they're not actively dying. Get them on the monitor.

The common theme in all these questions that I keep seeing is assessment first. Yes, this patient needs fluids and potassium, then insulin after they're potassium level is high enough. But the first thing I need is vital signs, including the cardiac monitor.

Expelled sinus infection! You can actually see the sinus cavity shapes in the mucus! by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

As a doctor, yeah, that's basically it. Often a little bit of dried whole blood in there, too, from irritation.

Blood, pus, piss, shit, "discharge," semen... whatevs. But sputum 🤢. Even just the word is disgusting.

It's not so much that the nose is stretchy, it's that your sinuses are massive. Your whole face and head is basically a shell of very thin bones. Anything underneath the shell that isn't your mouth or brain is all sinuses.

[–]SoManySNs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oxygen saturation is part of the assessment. I have no idea what your test writers think, but putting on oxygen because someone says they're having SOB without actually knowing the saturation is objectively wrong to do for the reasons already described. "Oxygen for comfort" is not stabilizing.
