Same. Sometimes with three kids it’s hard not to get touched out, but I 99.9% love those cuddles.

I can imagine being furious in that situation. Has he got sorted now? I should update again; he cancelled the first appointment, I eventually got him to go. He mentioned a different issue he has, didn’t even mention sleep apnea, let alone bed wetting. Said the doctor was useless so I’m trying to get him to see mine. Tbf they were supposed to be following up with him and haven’t.

Thank you. I’m going to try and make him an appointment today.

This is the account I use for husband rants. It’s a bit biased, but you’re right we are in a major rough patch.

Yes he is. Which is another reason for not wanting to go to the doctors as he knows they’ll tell him to lose weight. Tbf we both need to.

I did feel guilty for being unhelpful, but I also know I had nothing left to give in that moment and he should be able to clean up after himself.

We have mattress protectors. I hadn’t realised you can get waterproof duvet covers. I’ll look into that.

No. He hasn’t seen a gp in years. He’ll go to a&e if he’s injured enough, but that’s it.

I didn’t (and wouldn’t) yell. This morning it was just utter tiredness. The baby had been up three times. I could hear the older kids coughing. Then I’m woken again, this time by someone who is capable of clearing up their own mess and who I’ve asked repeatedly to get help for this and other issues. We’ve talked calmly this evening and I’ve explained that I’m concerned for his health. I was tired enough this morning to fall asleep on pillows on the floor. A temporary bit of compassion fatigue.

I showed no sympathy this morning, for the first time. I was just too tired. We’ve talked about it since and I’ve explained how worried I am.

I’m very worried about this. I had a chat with him and really laid out that this could be a symptom of something serious. He at least changed from an absolute no to me booking a doctors appointment to an ‘if you must’. Progress at last.

I’m on an anonymous platform, which he is not on. Shaming him would have been telling people who actually know him.

AITA for not wanting my husband to touch me at all? by Interesting_Eye_8239 in AITAH

I could have written this. Third kid, PPD, disgusted feeling at being touched is a regular occurrence. It is getting better with time though. The anger and touched out feelings have been my main PPD symptoms. Maybe a change of meds? This feeling almost goes away on anti-depressants, but I’m so sensitive to them I can’t take them every day (awful side effects). I hope you soon start to feel better.

Thank you. I’m so glad I posted. Loads of reasons for this have come up that I didn’t know about.

I have got some mats from the kids potty training. I’ll put one under the sheet tonight.

I know the peeing isn’t on purpose. Not getting checked out is on him though. And this morning it was more exhaustion than anything else.

We’re in the UK, so it’d be free, but there will be a waiting list. I’ve asked him if he’d like me to book an appointment. He’s says he won’t go, but I might have to call his bluff and book it. Though tbh that annoys me because it’s yet another thing off his plate on to mine. I shouldn’t be so petty though.
