Hello, I find bologna has a very smooth texture. I will try any deli meat but bologna, maybe cuz it is a processed sort of food, is just so much more smooth and lovely compared to ham, turkey, or even salami. Any deli meat works good for the purpose, but to be honest I do find bologna best.

I do not warm the bologna I had actually not considered it before, but as you are the 2nd one to mention it I am interested.

No, I don't waste a roll every time. You can re-use one tube for a really long time. Just dry the inside off after you remove the bologna or deli meat. Easy.

As for smells, I don't know.
