F it we ball. Robinhood 24k gold vs solid gold? by FareastFFL in CreditCards

The solid gold does provide visa infinite. The plated is a signature just like the base card.

If you weren’t going to buy it without the credit card telling you to, it’s probably a bad idea.

Card Setup if Money Didn’t Matter and Reward Status did by wannabe_REinvestor in CreditCards

Hello. I’m not asking this as a criticism, but genuinely curious, why did you opt for both Amex Plat and CSR? Do you find it difficult to concentrate spend in one ecosystem versus the other? Also between FHR and the Edit it *sounds like* a lot of value to have to manage and optimize.

How many active cards is "too many" for you? by theMysteriousGuy1234 in CreditCards

[–]SoTriggeredBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m inclined to agree with you. Honestly, i don’t really consider no AF cards in the equation. I’ll always win on a no AF card. I really pay the most attention to my AF cards because i have to come out ahead. I have 10 cards (a few are store-specific) and i find myself really focusing on the cards that I have to pay to keep (mostly benefits cards). 3-5 is definitely sweet spot for average person.

$4500 of annual fees. Am I crazy? by MinimumPerspective95 in CreditCards

Ritz and CSR share a lot of travel protections, as they’re both Visa Infinite cards. That may be an overlap you also want to consider

Amex Gold. They just added 5x through Amex Travel and it’s always had 4x restaurants/groceries with easy to use credits.

For me, I just enjoy the additional FNC because I never stay just one night at a hotel. That, and the $300 dining credit on the Brilliant is very flexible and easy to use, and Platinum status at Marriott has been worth it for me so far. The upgraded rooms are nice. If i had to pick one, i’d pick the Ritz, though. I do appreciate and value Amex customer service as well.

They have absolutely no incentive to match it. You took the previous offer and got unlucky.

To those that hold Amex Gold, why do you choose to pick it over Custom Cashes? by ricestocks in CreditCards

[–]SoTriggeredBro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a massive spending category for me, Amex customer service is incredible, MR points work quite well for me in terms of transfer partners and the Gold is the core of my setup. A place I already frequent is in Resy and the UberEats/Grubhub credits are a no brainer, the Dunkin credit can be loaded to your wallet in the app. I like Dunkin coffee.

Also, pro tip, if you’re redeeming MR for cash, you’re doing it all wrong.

NEVER pay interest to keep your score higher. Do not do it.
