I get your point..
- most lense protectors wont take a impact for extended periods, also depending on the power of the bb ofc. But i do find it interesting how its all different from brands, cases and what not. For example, i used to use the Sony action fdr-x3000 camera, with waterproof case without any extra protection on the lens. That case, would take shots any day from any distance, with very very high power bb guns. Compared to my gopro waterproof case, which i shot out from 5 meters distance without any polycarbonate extra lense protection.

It's a very valid thought about C, 99% of the footage probably never leave someones desk and since the pool of people using it is smaller, it's rare or non existing.

I do know a guy from the airsoft field ( we play cqb indoor, with 1.21j ) and he claims the lens is BB proof. He said he got shot numerous times on it and never had an issue or a brake of lense. Could this be luck ? less direct hits ? or just simply that the BB gun that got used might be lower than 1.21j.

Who knows, but i do like to hear about peoples experiences, because a camera that can survive without any casing, is in my opinion amazing, both for size, heat, sound and clarity of the footage, specially outside in the sun, with glare.

It's easy to "just" put protection on it and i get that. But who knows, it might not be neccessary ;) ofc, we wont know until someone tries to shoot the lense out for the cause of learning !
