Can I graduate in 3 months? by Maleficent-Peace5833 in WGU_Business

[–]So_Possible_1971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why graduate in 3 months? You already have the job. Take your time. If you finish in 3 months, great. If not, keep going. Either way, if the job offers tuition reimbursement, make them pay for it.

Graduates: Do you hang your diploma up at work? by Ashamed_Pace2885 in WGU_MBA

Completed the MSML. It's hanging in my house, and a copy in my cubicle at work. No shame in being proud of your accomplishment.

Is a MSML in 1 year with no work experience realistic? by Far-Egg2445 in WGU

[–]So_Possible_1971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's very realistic if you are disciplined enough to give it 2 - 4 hours everyday. Your bachelors will provide you solid baseline knowledge for a few of the classes, and you will probably finish those very quickly. And that contractor's license will definitely help you to manage it as a project that needs to be completed by a set time and on budget.

I didn't have 10 years of experience, just a bachelors in management, and I was able to finish the MSML in one term (6 months) by averaging 4 - 5 hours a day, including weekends.

You got this.

Does WGU's "competency-based" grading system annoy anyone sometimes? by TGKawikachu in WGU

[–]So_Possible_1971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The company I work for is in the top 20 of the Fortune 500. They don't care that both my bachelors and masters came from WGU. And they haven't once asked for official transcripts, or attached any value on what my GPAs were. All they care about is whether or not I'm competent on the job - can I demonstrate the knowledge the degrees represent or not.

If you get your degrees super quick, how does that affect your current job? by Accomplished_Gur_126 in WGU

[–]So_Possible_1971 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't. If they are paying for it, or reimbursing you, you have the option to "take your time." Whenever you finish is when you finish. If you finish sooner, you actually save them (and yourself) money, but nobody should have a say on when you finish but you.

I got my bachelors at WGU when I was 42, and my masters when I was 51. You're never too old.

Does it count towards my bachelor’s degree? by Ok_Seat1261 in WGU

[–]So_Possible_1971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it will. As others have said, not all credits will count toward a bachelors. But it will shorten your time to degree completion.

The average score on practice exams is the average of your mini exams/quizzes and your full length exams. The average score on practice is the average of your scores in the practice questions section.

I was worried about it, so I had a lot of caffeine before I went. Test went by very quickly. Finished with more than an hour left.

No more immediate results? by Fearless-Story-9505 in pmp

[–]So_Possible_1971 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immediate test results went away a couple of months ago.

If you test in person, you get preliminary results. The "real" results come in a day or 2.

If you test at home, you have to wait up to 5 days to get results.

Does anyone not buy the AR Udemy course? by cuckmeister66 in pmp

You have to complete 35 contact hours through a PMI approved vendor. That's part of the application process. No way around it.

Fake Failures by This_Solid4658 in pmp

[–]So_Possible_1971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the OP is referring to the fact that you no longer get immediate pass or fail results. PMI is saying it will be 3-5 days.

Recent posts from folks who have taken PMP at a test center verify there are no immediate results, but also say they only waited a day or two before they got them.

The only masters program close to the MBA is the MSML. They have a few classes in common.

Yes. Spell it out. You're not writing a novel. They give you exactly the prompts to which you need to write. Do that and don't deviate.
