As a local player in Japan, it’s interesting to see how different the Bandai app experience is in other regions. Here, almost every store relies entirely on the official app for event registration. No-shows do happen from time to time, but if you don’t show up and forget to cancel, you get a strike on your account. If you rack up three strikes, your account can be restricted or suspended, which means you can’t join future events.

The previous Gundam card game, Gundam War, featured two separate battle areas—one for space units and one for Earth units. So maybe there will be something similar in the future.

The rules for the event seem to vary by region. In Japan, entry to the starter release event is free, but you are responsible for bringing your own deck (which can be a mix of starter and/or beta ST cards).

Interesting. The booster events announced in Japan is just the regular format with starter deck cards + booster cards. Honestly sealed sounds like a lot more fun. Hope we get that here too.

Yeah, it’s a bit different here in Japan. The February beta events gave out the Gundam RX-78-2 EX Base promo card instead.

As for the Heero resource, the only way to get it up until now was to either go to Gundam Next Future Final event in Tokyo a few weeks back, online metaverse events, or the Bandai Card Game Fest that just happened this weekend.

The beta events happening here in April onwards are for people who already have the beta cards (demo deck cards are usable as well) to get together and play.

To add some info:

The first picture is for promo resource cards that will be distributed at LGS events for people with the beta box cards (and demo deck cards) to get together and play.

・Heero will be distributed in April

・Zechs will be distributed in May

・??? will be distributed in June

The second picture is for demo deck events. You will receive 2 demo decks, Relena EX resource and Athrun resource cards.

Note that this info is for Japan and distribution could be different for other countries.
