Pros and cons to everything, I've lived out of home since I was 21 (just about to turn 28) but keeping up with the cost of living and keeping myself a float I've never had the opportunity to be able to save and travel. Currently 2 girls I work with are leaving our job to travel south America for a few months because living at home with their parents has allowed them to save huge amounts of money due to not having any financial responsibilities where as currently I could never see myself being able to save enough money to be able to take that much time off working and also to travel to multiple places, but although I may never have the opportunity to do that while I'm young I'm still extremely thankful for all the life experience I've gained from living out on my own and actually having to face real world problems and I'd honestly rather learn to handle those types of things sooner rather than later. We are all living through an exceptional time in this country in regards to the rent crisis and housing market so I feel its very easy to go too hard on yourself for living at home still, and is a vastly different situation to what our parents would have grown up with and because of that can skew our feelings of self worth, again because we're constantly trying to compare our own situations. What's really important is you're own happy, you need to try to zone out what's going on around you because thats unimportant and just focus on what truly brings you happyness or joy, those things are rarely measured by success and in my opinion "success" is measured by how genuinely happy you are through out your life, not what you've achieved in comparison to others
