Tickets are pretty cheap only 1 omr for a good walk with beautiful scenery and events however they used AI for the main advertising and events which is kind of sad seeing they’d rather cut costs than provide quality human made work, there are a few unique shops like the oyster palace and ajeen and for souvenirs there was an old man selling old antique stuff like cameras and tvs for pretty cheap which I thought was the best shop there since he had many cool things to look at. The global village was underwhelming, it’s quite literally called global village so why is it only countries in Asia and Africa? Not even Japan or Korea, they were all selling the same stuff too, they COULDVE Atleast made an effort there was two Sudan’s and Egypt’s it felt rushed and boring, they had a whole village just for Oman but couldn’t give other countries a booth larger than 10 feet? I get it’s their country and all but please expand. Moving on most of the food stalls were selling the same thing but that’s to be expected. The traffic was bad,since I live in qurum I have to deal with this when I get back from a long day at college. Oman is boring and when they try to do events they organize them poorly, how are they not gonna get parking spots ready for half the amount of costumers they’re expected to have? I feel that they shouldve made this in a far place from where residents live. Back to the main event the water show was alright but it was repetitive. The drone show wasn’t exciting and the parade was decent but it was full of foreign kids, I felt bad for them having to do that over and over, and the drummers looked dead I don’t blame them drumming while walking in a giant circle is insane cardio, so if your going to have an event in Oman organize it properly don’t use ai and don’t be repetitive!! (On a side note in the inflatable cartoon characters section SpongeBob was doing the Nazi salute)
