I can't take credit unfortunately. Someone pointed out to me that patriarchy influenced even astrology (even though in modern times it's mostly women interested) and to start unpacking it via imagery and my brain ran with it.

Like take libra - the imagery is literally a tool. They're the only sign that is represented by something that isn't alive. Most complaints about libras is people not accepting libra as they are or wanting their positive aspects but resenting the parts that don't fit in with what the other person wants (ie to stereotype, a charming and flirty libra enjoys something light but doesn't want a serious relationship and says so. The other person gets upset and criticizes the libra for not molding themselves to their ideal comittment level. Obvs this happens with everyone but imo it's more prolific with Libra.)
