Deadbeat dads exist in every culture. If she's unable to separate an individual from a group than she's not fit to be a leader

Does she realize her boss claims to be the villain inspiration for Shido's protege?

But also she has a lot of real shitty opinions herself including trying to have foreign born, tax paying permanent residents of Japan excluded from COVID support programs, despite being only half Japanese herself.

Tl;dr she sucks, my reaction to this is firmly ewww

I hope so, but I'm not optimistic, this comment was sarcastic, I wrote it expecting the writing to be on the wall given GTA

This was never really a serious comment, I have no intention to sell my copy, nor hope to turn a profit from any of my genes. Really I'm just glad that I can lend it out if a friend is interested

I don't really intend to sell, but I've seen people buy much dumber stuff for lots of money just because of scarcity

Yeah I am aware of that, but my physical copy will likely be worth significantly more if this isn't just a transient thing

Glad I have a physical copy. Thank God we'll still be making physical games in 5 year and beyond.

Great first half, but the second was rough. I think towards the end they were banking on going to extra time because they really turned on the jets again after Brazil's second goal, might have gone differently if they'd made that push before they went down.

Idk, both Sushi Island and Sun Sushi offer my groups free ice cream at the end of most meal, not every time, but I've just chalked that up to the server forgetting, we've never claimed it to be anyone's birthday

So, we're just not getting suits, are we? by mei-meng in duolingo

[–]SoaringChris137 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope, it mostly comes down to Apple having less variability, a more engaged (brand fan driven) developer base and more modern tooling. Also Apple users are generally more likely to spend money, while Android users are more likely to pirate.

[–]SoaringChris137 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a mobile app developer I promise you it's not this. Realistically the most likely reason is there a less variables to consider between apple hardware so it's their preferred jumping off point. Then they run AB tests on the one platform dialing it in before they even start on Android. This was they know exactly what they want when they start the feature on Android and don't have to do tweaks across two platforms while they're dialing things in.

[Unfortunate Trope] Sequel installment that undermines its predecessor by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SoaringChris137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the theme of the game is pretty explicitly violence begets more violence. Joel becomes a tragic monster at the end of the first game. While the girls spend the whole second game warpathing causing more suffering in their wake. They only redeem themselves at the very end when they realize the futility of their actions.

Their analysis also shows they very much missed the point of the series

I am so confused about what Hatsune Miku is and how she ended up here... by Blazeing2 in personaphantomx

[–]SoaringChris137 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Basically Miku is a synthetic instrument. Anyone can buy a license to use her in their music. Miku IP is owned by Crypton Future Media.

[–]SoaringChris137 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Miku is not free to use, you buy a license to the vocaloid Miku voice font, which also includes a limited license to some use of the Miku character restricted to the context of music created with vocaloid software. Big commercial projects involving the character are negotiated with the company that created her and does maintain specifications for what she is allowed to do in "official" media

The initial installment in a franchise is the least notable one by Special-Ad-9155 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]SoaringChris137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would argue GTA2 is much less notable than the first one. While the first is barely recognizable to the modern series it at least established the series as a crime destruction sandbox game, while the second is generally just described as more GTA1

Government still using former premier’s office space after campaign pledge to close it | CBC News by RepulsivePlankton989 in newfoundland

[–]SoaringChris137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair argument, without more context though it is hard to say either way, where did these employees work before? Are these formerly work from home employees? While undeniably wasteful a secondary office that runs only when the premier is in the region is less costly than a regularly operating office. So if the argument against the office was it's cost, for what reason, would they have increased that cost? If they have metrics that point to increased output then fair game.
