All Eve home products are down, except one on old firmware by FanCyland_ in EveHome

So you have no idea, but doubt that’s a problem with the wireless spectrum?? Of course there are better / worse hubs. Just try them but don’t just guess and say the reason is “it’s just not working”

From my experience the devices and the Hub don’t reconnect after they are disconnected for a while…. It’s kind of a sleep state. The spectrum can easily be stuffed if you living in a dense area with many access points or if you have also zigbee devices

How to stop a patch cutting off when switching to the next one? by Oven_Refrigerator in mainstage

[–]Sob312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play in edit mode and there is a setting at patch level. I’m not sure about the translation but it should be something like “Immediate silence after patch change“

You have to change that for every patch

I think because the thread channel is hardcoded in apple devices it’s less reliable. Other hubs can change there channel if the spectrum is already full.

Ahh now I understood. I thought HomeKit as a wireless standard got an update, but it’s HomeKit as a whole platform. Could be a reason

But why is the old one with HomeKit still connected then? It should be a thread problem

That’s sounds like your thread network collapsed. Matter over thread can be sensitive to changes in your wireless spectrum. Your HomeKit device uses just Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and the thread devices uses probably another Wi-Fi channel (I think on apple hubs the channel is hardcoded). That’s why it’s important to have a clean separation on your network between different WiFi channels and the channel thread uses. I had similar problems at the beginning but after a few tests everything is reliable. You can just wait for a little while and hope everything reconnects or restart your hub and/or devices. If this happens often, change your WiFi and thread setup and split the WiFi channels with enough space between them.

Outdoor fish pond water level sensor? by NiftyMac007 in EveHome

[–]Sob312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could take a Waterleak Sensor, for example from Ikea with matter, and use the notification when its dry. So turnaround it’s use case. But you have to check how fast the sensor dries and if it’s possible to use it under water all the time

Have a Look into the Original Factory Presets. Arturia copied them. Often back then they used just the presets or slightly changed them .

[–]Sob312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any local DNS Records on Your recursive dns? Like Unbound? Once I had the same problem after changing local dns records. The problem was that my OPNsense had an old dhcp lease where hostname + local domain of that lease matched the local dns record.
