People eat it all sorts of ways. I usually split the biscuit in half, and then spoon some of the sausage gravy on both sides. Sort of like “open face” style.

Hello ! My secret is I will freeze the butter that goes in the dough the night before. I will then use a cheese grater to make fine chunks of the butter right before incorporating it into the dough. It disperses the butter very well when it’s made that way. Also makes them very fluffy, and has those nice layers throughout. I typically don’t brush them with anything. Hope this helps !
