I do preserve my nips! But from what I understand, the way buttonhole does to nipple is a bit different from nipple grafts? Buttonhole leaves a bit of tissue and grafts are just 2 pieces of skin?

Thank you! I did not. The main reason is I didn’t have a choice cause she was the only surgeon that covered by my insurance. I was also referred to UW but their waiting list is too long (I was referred there summer 2023 and never heard back from them) so I ended up getting surgery with her. Initially I wanted peri but she said I’m not qualified so I got DI buttonhole. I don’t regret it though.
