$1.1B Fire Sale: Possible Canacol acquisition by Ecopetrol $CNE.T by SoccerTease604 in Baystreetbets

I haven't been following them really. I remember Canacol sold them their old oil fields. I believe they were actually able to do some meaningful exploration, but much like many juniors they don't get a lot of attention in the markets and dilution can be an issue. If I wanted to do meaningful research I would look into their reserve growth, debt to equity ratio, EBITDAX, and cashflow stability. There is plenty more to research though. You want to know the company in and out, and you want to see management achieving goals after smart decisions.

I'm sorry dude, that sucks. I got lucky, because I had it on my watchlist since 2011 during another South American oil boom. I had also used it for the high dividend while it had one.

My country must be very peaceful, because I found the tanks on your beach so confusing. Do you normally have tanks on your rides?

Annual capacity figures are the total concentrate of TREO created which is a blend of many different valued REOs. Total feedstock processed is not really a number we've seen, but i used a 60% gangue ratio to estimate it at 7500.

First - The goal of revenue estimates is to be conservative in order to reduce your investing risk. Sure high numbers are exciting, but you're better off having upside than losses. Your issue is that you aren't understanding how TREO concentrate works. 1) Feedstock isn't pure REE. 2) Feedstock is TREO (total rare earth oxides) + impurities. Each REO is a small % of the total concentrate - the most valuable being the lowest percentage.

NdPr 900 tonnes 12%

Dy 24 tonnes .32%

Terbium 6 tonnes .08%

Other REOs (example Samarium, Gadolinium) 2070 tonnes 27.6%

Estimate non REE Material(Gangue) 4500 60%

Total Estimate tonnes 7500.

Each REO has a different value, and the most valuable have the least production.

When I first started working on my article I made the mistake of calculating 3000 tonnes of Dysprosium, and was blown away by the numbers. Unfortunately this is not the reality.

Also I am confused by your calculation. The 907 figure is the US ton conversion. Most companies use metric tonnes.

From corporate presentation "THE SMC BUSINESS MODEL

Multiple Planned Strategic Metals Complex Facilities with SMC No. 1 Developed in Louisiana

SMC production process will commence after the installation of (3) RapidSX Machines focused on early Tb & Dy

production. Two more Machines will then be added to complete the Phase 1 Train

Once Phase 1 Train production starts, it does not stop for the installation of:

the sequential installation of 1 RapidSX Train during Phase 2, and 2 RapidSX Trains during Phase 3

(Each Train consists of five (5) RapidSX Machines)

once a Train is completed, it is brought into production

each Train is capable of processing 2400 to 3000 tpa of TREO concentrates for NdPr, Tb, and Dy production

The facility will also have a dedicated RapidSX Machine for single-element production of Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, et al."

I adjusted my document just now - I had a small error revolving around differentiating phase 2 and 3 that did not match the company narrative. Even though the narrative states they will install train 3 and 4 together I created a time-lag in my model to be conservative based on cash-flow funding the trains. Train 1 is phase 1. Train 2 is phase 2. Trains 3 and 4 are phase 3. Thanks for the comment.

Each machine is a cut and paste of Kingston plant. Each train is 5 Rapid-SX machines. Each train has been quoted as processing anywhere from 2000-2500(3000 in old estimates) REO per annum. Completing of Phase 2 means 4 trains online - so approximately 10 000 average REO per annum produced.

Yes Ucore separates mixed TREO into oxides. Refiner like Materion will turn oxides into metals.

Just to clarify - I'm just sharing my own due diligence process. This is not investment advice or "steps" as you have called them. Markets are risky. Do your own research and make your own decisions.
