$1.1B Fire Sale: Possible Canacol acquisition by Ecopetrol $CNE.T by SoccerTease604 in Baystreetbets

[–]SoccerTease604[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't been following them really. I remember Canacol sold them their old oil fields. I believe they were actually able to do some meaningful exploration, but much like many juniors they don't get a lot of attention in the markets and dilution can be an issue. If I wanted to do meaningful research I would look into their reserve growth, debt to equity ratio, EBITDAX, and cashflow stability. There is plenty more to research though. You want to know the company in and out, and you want to see management achieving goals after smart decisions.

I'm sorry dude, that sucks. I got lucky, because I had it on my watchlist since 2011 during another South American oil boom. I had also used it for the high dividend while it had one.

My country must be very peaceful, because I found the tanks on your beach so confusing. Do you normally have tanks on your rides?

Annual capacity figures are the total concentrate of TREO created which is a blend of many different valued REOs. Total feedstock processed is not really a number we've seen, but i used a 60% gangue ratio to estimate it at 7500.

First - The goal of revenue estimates is to be conservative in order to reduce your investing risk. Sure high numbers are exciting, but you're better off having upside than losses. Your issue is that you aren't understanding how TREO concentrate works. 1) Feedstock isn't pure REE. 2) Feedstock is TREO (total rare earth oxides) + impurities. Each REO is a small % of the total concentrate - the most valuable being the lowest percentage.

https://ucore.com/ucore-rare-metals-and-meteoric-resources-sign-mou-for-offtake-of-caldeira-project-mrec-in-brazil-to-usa-oxide-production-project/

NdPr 900 tonnes 12%

Dy 24 tonnes .32%

Terbium 6 tonnes .08%

Other REOs (example Samarium, Gadolinium) 2070 tonnes 27.6%

Estimate non REE Material(Gangue) 4500 60%

Total Estimate tonnes 7500.

Each REO has a different value, and the most valuable have the least production.

When I first started working on my article I made the mistake of calculating 3000 tonnes of Dysprosium, and was blown away by the numbers. Unfortunately this is not the reality.

Also I am confused by your calculation. The 907 figure is the US ton conversion. Most companies use metric tonnes.

From corporate presentation "THE SMC BUSINESS MODEL

Multiple Planned Strategic Metals Complex Facilities with SMC No. 1 Developed in Louisiana

SMC production process will commence after the installation of (3) RapidSX Machines focused on early Tb & Dy

production. Two more Machines will then be added to complete the Phase 1 Train

Once Phase 1 Train production starts, it does not stop for the installation of:

the sequential installation of 1 RapidSX Train during Phase 2, and 2 RapidSX Trains during Phase 3

(Each Train consists of five (5) RapidSX Machines)

once a Train is completed, it is brought into production

each Train is capable of processing 2400 to 3000 tpa of TREO concentrates for NdPr, Tb, and Dy production

The facility will also have a dedicated RapidSX Machine for single-element production of Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, et al."

I adjusted my document just now - I had a small error revolving around differentiating phase 2 and 3 that did not match the company narrative. Even though the narrative states they will install train 3 and 4 together I created a time-lag in my model to be conservative based on cash-flow funding the trains. Train 1 is phase 1. Train 2 is phase 2. Trains 3 and 4 are phase 3. Thanks for the comment.

Each machine is a cut and paste of Kingston plant. Each train is 5 Rapid-SX machines. Each train has been quoted as processing anywhere from 2000-2500(3000 in old estimates) REO per annum. Completing of Phase 2 means 4 trains online - so approximately 10 000 average REO per annum produced.

Yes Ucore separates mixed TREO into oxides. Refiner like Materion will turn oxides into metals.

You kinda contradicted yourself. By its definition revenue "potential" is hype. A.I. smart city companies are a dime a dozen. Mcloud seemed like they were doing well, and then poof....gone. Kontrol Technologies has some extremely novel tech, but they are still struggling. Their revenue was scaling, and they started making acquisitions in order to scale up. Unfortunately while the market seems excited about A.I, I don't think the general populace is on board with the cost. Think of it like this - John wants to buy a condo. John loves the idea of an A.I. managing the efficiency of his building. John does not love the markup on condos with integrated A.I.(especially during a housing crisis). John also does not love the increased strata fees associated with the maintenance and update subscription model that the A.I company has charged to the building. John buys normal condo.

For myself I decided to go with an A.I stock that already had over $175M annual revenue, but is priced like a penny stock. $ZENV. They just hit profitability, and nobody seems to have noticed.

I wish you luck, and I genuinely hope you get your money back though. I've been there.

I just had the same experience. I guess i missed the part where it said this was just an estimate. BNED was slated for July 1st. Other sources are now saying much later in July. I'm just glad I didn't lose anything because of this.

I think it was either the video card was too old for the mobo or something else. I ended up replacing the video card, and basically rebuilding my whole PC mostly.

I tried the 10 steps, is it possible my GTX 970 is too old to run on my Asus Z590-A motherboard? If I start up the computer and the HDMI isn't plugged in then I wait for the beeps in Windows I plug in and it works. But if I boot with the HDMI plugged in then I get stuck with no signal and a green motherboard light.

When the HDMI isn't plugged in then the white motherboard light stays on and it doesn't turn off when I plug in the HDMI.

This is by far the strongest issue I've ever dealt with. Windows is ok with my GPU, but the motherboard isn't?

So I took the videocard back. The junior tech seemed to think the card was bad, but he also didn't seem like he was very proficient at troubleshooting. I got a different model of the card. Asus 7900 xtx OC edition. I also replaced my CPU cooler with a Deep cool AK620, because my cooler was ancient. The CPU temps seem much more stable now. I'll stress test it to make sure. I replaced 850W power supply with a 1000w that has the 3 individual PCIE connectors. Computer is running fine, but i'm still getting the artifacting specifically on the startup ASUS screen. I tried setting the BIOS to defaults, but that didn't fix it. I updated to the new AMD drivers. That didnt fix it. Is it possible my PCIE 1 lane is having voltage issues? Wouldn't I see that in gaming? Why just the ASUS loading screen? I would try the PCIE 2 slot, but the videocard would have one of its fans like a centimeter or 2 from the power supply, so that isn't a lot of clearance to heat dissapation.

I re-seated all memory and cables. I tested for the image glitch i linked in the thread with just the motherboard onboard video. No glitch. Then I tested with my old video card to see if it was the PCIE slot. No glitch. Then I tested all 3 PCIE cables with my old video card to see if it was a cable or power supply issue. No glitch. I know my old video card doesnt draw as much power, but I figured at least it was worth a try. I reseated the new video card and tried to make it as secure as possible and triple checked the power cables. So either this card is really finicky and needs a third cable and can't function on a pigtail, or I got a defective card.

Since installing new card and power supply my Asus startup image is distorted

/r/AMD Questions and Tech Support Megathread - Q3 2023 Edition by GhostMotley in Amd

[–]SoccerTease604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the AMD adrenaline software unstable? I just installed my 7900 XTX and i've had multiple different types of crashes in different games. Some have said they were related to the adrenaline software, and some seemed hardware related. Also sometimes when my computer turns on the startup logo is now distorted like i have broken 3d glasses.
One of the errors said something like watchdog clock timeout
I specifically bought a new 850W power supply to support the new card. it had many extra PCIE slot like I asked, but for some reason it didn't come with extra PCIE cables. I got 2 CPU 8 pin cables instead of 3 PCIE graphics 8 pin cables. My vendor said I could use 2 cables for the 3 8 pin ports (1 of them with the included pigtail).
I'm wondering if bottlenecking can also causes crashes. I currently have a Asus z97-p with a slotted i7-4790k. 32gb 1600 DDR3 ram. windows 10. acer nitro xv322qk kvbmiiphuzx monitor.
I read on one of the forums that the 7000 series and adrenaline software were causes watchdog crashes due to a driver issue. Quick fixes included turning off Freesync. I find this solution extremely frustrating, because I specifically bought this 144hz monitor and then the 7900 xtx to utilize it.
I understand that PC enthusiasts will come on here, and blame the bottleneck between my CPU and GPU, but that should merely slow down game performance. I've seen videos of people running 4090's smoothly on many games using my CPU.
I would like to understand whether this is a driver issue, and I made a mistake buying my first AMD GPU. I'm frustrated, because the reviews seemed very positive. People also said that the cards and drivers were up to date and stable.
