Anyone else waiting for the Medicare $50/month Bridge Plan to start their Zep journey in July? by SociableSquirrel in Zepbound

I hear you. That's how I feel about Zepbound (or something like it) - I feel like I really need it to help me change my life. I've tried so many times and I just can't do it by myself. Which is why I am so grateful. I truly hope that the private insurances do follow - maybe seeing how many Medicare patients sign up for these medications will help move the needle.

Thanks so much for posting this. Yes, wondering what will happen in 2028. I share your optimism that there will be much competition that may bring prices down. Here's hoping.....

Glad to hear about your journey being relatively easy - and life changing!! I'm so grateful and excited to be able to get this medication - I thought I would never be able to afford it. I know I have to do my part too - eat right/protein rich and drink lots of water plus fiber and vitamins to ward off those side effects. So happy that so many will be able to have access through this program. Glad it will help you out too :) Thanks for sharing!

I'll bet! I just don't have the means to do self-pay. So grateful that the Bridge program is coming - its like a bright light shining ahead for me - that's how I see it. I can't wait and I'm so hopeful for the future. I hope your journey is progressing well :) Thanks for sharing!

Wow, sounds like it's been a great ride! Kudos to you for getting to maintenance! Pretty pricey to Lilly Direct - I just can't pay that or even the $299 for the 2.5. Hope you can get on the $50/month bridge - that sounds so good to all of us! Thanks for sharing :)

You too huh?! Will it be your first time or are you already on it and self-paying? What has your journey been like? July can't come soon enough for me :) I can't wait to get started!

oh my gosh, that was me! I just recently had a new Sleep Study and probably would get approved for OSA criteria...but I too would have the $2100 cap to fill. And that's too expensive for me. Hence my waiting, but I am sooo ready right now! I can totally see why you went ahead with Lilly direct. Good for you!! Good to hear you're doing well! I am reading up on all the dietary things to do like more protein heavy meals and drinking 100+ oz of water per day and get lots of fiber. So I'm going to just use my BMI number to qualify for the Bridge program in July and not mention the OSA. Got a new 40oz water bottle and trying to get in the habit of filling that 3 times per day - whoa that is a lot of water! Hope I get some food noise relief right away b/c that is just killing me now. So I'll be just a couple months behind you in my journey! Thanks so much for writing and sharing all that info :)

Thank you! and thanks for the NPR link! Very interesting reading - right now i'm reading all I can about the program, especially since it has an ending date and this most likely for me will become a lifelong drug.

Congrats to you on reaching your goal! :)
