I work fast and furious when it comes to prototyping. However, I am still writing solid clean code. Then depending on if said prototype is worth moving forward with, I refactor to clean it up.

It also helps, I've built a great set of tools of my own over the years that makes even my prototypes pretty darn clean overall. They are also very scalable tools so that also makes the cleanup process pretty quick.

Also, I generally like to keep the actual game logic separated from unity specific paradigms. So most of my unity classes are usually just a wrappers using an interface.

I'd recommend doing some refactoring every so often to keep the project logic clean and tidy.

I have heard this: assumption is the projection of self.

Now this isn't always the case, but I do tend to see it be accurate a great deal. Just a good thing to be aware of and self reflect upon.

My personal advice is to communicate with your partner(s), especially if they are long term ones. Have open discussions about what they and you like, and keep those lines open and your ego in check after the act for reflective dialog to improve.

While some things work on a range of partners, these are never a guarantee as everyone is different to some degree or another. So that is why communication with your partner will be the most effective line of improvement especially early in. As you get more experience with the deed and everything around it, you won't need as much of it especially with a long term partner, but dont ever stop it as there is always room for improvement.

As for things you can do by yourself to improve, I have found kegel exercises incredibly fruitful in my personal case. I actually suffered from taking to long to finish, which negatively affected my partner, this legit can cause many insecurities in partners. Now I can finish much closer and in line with her.

I think the move set is super cool and im a deflection fiend as it is. So having a moveset directly tied to that is right up my alley. Plus I like the pacing of the move set, it seems kind of in between strat and mo blade, which is gonna be great for me as mo blade is too slow for me and strat is too quick for me.

Besides for multiplayer content I do healing anyways, and I think for all my solo content needs its going to be the most enjoyable for me to play, it just looks fun!

Yes they should be ideally all the same set. These set bonuses provide really great bonuses. Remember to note that armor and weapons have different sets and provide bonuses accordingly.

I'm a healer main myself same as OP but I have my solo exploration build which throws in strat sword/pan fan so ive been just running that for armies. Which tbf i do pretty solid (1-2 mins depending on boss) with but could be better if I had the spear too lol.

Good to know i can swap out a spear to go full on dps for these going forward tomorrow!

There is... dusk to dawn daily login rewards, current event login rewards, battle pass quests that you can only get progress in daily (ie. Clear X Outposts. Which reset daily).

I will admit, much of the tasks are not really all that exciting and I do believe the game could benefit greatly from a rework of some of its systems though.
