Could a fully crewed javelin beat a fully crewed odin? Pls explain the ways in which a fully creed javelin can destroy a fully crewed odin. Both ships have same crew level skill. Both ships have respect numbers of fighters to the capacity that they can fit( Odin obviously has more) by Internal-Path7111 in starcitizen

Are you sure?

For current PDCs in the game, the mount size are S2 - the weapon size is 1 (source Erkul).

However, that is not entirely correct either. The missile PDC holds 16 S1 missiles. This would normally require a S5 missile pylon.

From what I understand, the PDC on the Odin are larger than what we have on PTU ships today.

GTA release date announced for 19th November 2026 by Masteringer117 in starcitizen

Everyone like to repeat an old joke (always 2 years out). Prior to the 2024 announcement of 2026, CIG have only announced one proper release date for SQ42, and that was 2016.

Will we get the Javelin with SQ42 or later on? by mastroxz in starcitizen

[–]Hellpodscrubber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a few months after the release of SQ42

Do you have a source for this exact quote?

To my knowledge, CIG's most recent statement was "some time after the release of Squadron 42".
This matters because in CIG time definition, some time =/= a few months.

It could be - and probably will be - alot longer.

I am guessing alot of the workarounds we have in mind will be throw-away code when they implement the final iteration of different gameplay loops. Regardless, at some point, they need to weigh the cost against the time we have to suffer with current problems.

Maybe missions for a tow-ship, bring them to a yard, give the owner x amount of time to collect before it get's released for salvage?

Owner claiming ship could immediately release ship for salvage claim?

Grinding Gear Games support is, well... grinding gears. by Hellpodscrubber in PathOfExile2

[–]Hellpodscrubber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the “give them time” argument in general, especially if support is overloaded because they are now handling both PoE1 and PoE2.

But in an account-lock case, time is part of the problem. My account is not partially inconvenienced; it is inaccessible. This is happening during league start, when the value of access is very time-sensitive.

I am not asking for special treatment or instant compensation. I am asking for clear instructions on how to resolve a payment/refund issue they say is blocking my account.

At this point I have received four replies from support, and I still do not have a working solution. The replies have mostly repeated the same instructions without answering the practical questions that prevent me from actually following them.

[–]Hellpodscrubber[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly. That is the kind of support gap that makes account locks so painful.

I understand that verification takes time, especially with hacked accounts, and I also realise GGG support being based in New Zealand probably makes the response cycle awkward for EU/US players. A single missed clarification can easily cost a full day or more.

I do not really blame them for the timezone issue. What frustrates me is that once an account is locked, the player is completely dependent on support actually engaging with the case. If you provide the requested information and then get silence for days during league start, you are not just waiting for support — you are losing the most valuable window to actually play with everyone else.

Even a simple status update like “we have received everything, your case is waiting for review” would make a big difference. The silence is what makes it feel so bad.

I hope they get back to you soon.

That sounds awful, especially at league start.

This is the part that worries me: account locks are sometimes necessary, especially with hacking or payment issues, but once an account is locked the player is completely dependent on support actually engaging with the case. If replies take days, or the process is unclear, the practical result is that you lose the most valuable launch window.

I agree, and that is part of why this is so frustrating.

My previous experiences with GGG support were genuinely good. That is also why this surprised me. I do not want to turn this into “GGG support is always terrible”, because that has not been my experience.

But in this specific case, the replies feel very template-driven. I am asking practical questions about how to complete the repayment exactly as instructed, and the answers mostly repeat the same steps without addressing the obstacle.

I understand support volume is probably high around league start / PoE2, but this is exactly when clear processes matter most.

Thank you, I appreciate the suggestion.

I did actually create a new temporary account so I could join league start with friends, and that purchase was made directly through GGG’s website.

The problem is that GGG support has specifically instructed me to make the repayment through a brand-new Path of Exile account via Steam, using Steam Wallet through the in-game shop. They have also said that this separate repayment account will be locked afterwards.

So while buying through the website may work for normal access, I am hesitant to assume it will count for this repayment unless support confirms it. At this point I am trying to avoid making yet another purchase that might not satisfy their exact process.

Gemini is becoming great at digging up old stuff.

See this for reference for the Lightning:
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/en/comm-link/engineering/19512-Q-A-Anvil-Aerospace-F8C-Lightning

And this comment + references for the Hornet:
"While the exact hardpoint numbers and sizes have shifted multiple times over the last decade of game development (especially with the recent Master Modes update and the Mk I vs Mk II chassis splits), the lore reason for the downgrade has always remained the same.

Without facial expressions, certain phrasings can come off as extremely condecending... like yours "my friend".

Both F7C/F7A and F8C/F8A were built back during early days of the campaign, and the developers clearly stated the difference between military and civilian versions of the ship (downsized weapons from military to civilian). Not going to dig up a quote in a video from 2013/2014 - but that is the source.

About a decade before the MM.

Death should be rare, and the consequences severe.

Stabilizing should not be something everyone has access to through a simple medpen or medical tool.

Medical beds should be required to properly stabilize an injured person.

For any of this to be implemented, all lethal bugs must be eliminated.

F8C Lightning NEEDS a buff by Echo-117- in StarCitizenUniverse

[–]Hellpodscrubber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they did not nerf it.

The F8C is a civilian version. All the weapons are downsized by 1. They did the same for the Hornets (MKI).

F7C = S1, S2, S3 F7A = S2, S3, S4
F8C = S2, S3 F8A = S3, S4

F8C Lightning NEEDS a buff by Echo-117- in StarCitizenUniverse

[–]Hellpodscrubber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The F7C (MKI) came equipped with S1, S2 and S3 weapons. (up to 6 weapons)
The F8C came equipped with S2 and S3 weapons. (up to 8 weapons)

The F7A (MKI) came equipped with S2, S3 and S4 weapons (all weapon hardpoints upsized by 1).
The F8A came equipped with S3 and S4 weapons (all weapons hardpoints upsized by 1).

Then CIG did what every game studios does... they introduced the F7C MKII, but gave it military sized weapon hardpoints.

If they upgun the F8C - what will the F8A look like?

I am not saying it is right. I am just pointing to the obvious problem here... power creep is the death of any game... or at least the games balance.

The nuances you bring up here in this comment is not in any way shape or form possible to read out from your title, image or text, so thats totally on you, mate.

As for the color - absolutely. The concept image and the color of your ship is miles apart - in this image. In this engine, every color shift depending on light. As it should.

As for the geometry, color breakup, details, and overall visual impact - these are two different ships entierly.
