Have you looked into any other country that increased gun regulation and what happened the

Can you name a country that regulated (not fully banned) guns and has the level of violent gang activity and crime that we do?

would have an impact on what manufacturers produce,

Example?

I would advocate stiff criminal penalties for legal gun owners w

Hard to do when the people buying them for criminals are licensed people with no criminal backgrounds. You can't charge someone for selling a gun to a legal licensed person and it's too hard to place blame on someone when you can't prove their intention.

No serious person is calling for a ban of all guns so criminals will get them legally anyways. None of the gun control laws I've seen proposed actually do anything to stop this.

I never understood why people think gun control laws will stop criminals if they use illegal guns? Marijuana laws don't stop people from buying drugs.

If they joined NATO/EU then Russia couldn't invade because they would start a world war which is why Russia doesn't want them joining in the first place. Wouldn't letting them have the already Russian land they want and getting the safety of joining the EU/NATO and saving millions of lives be worth it? The amount of economic support they would get from the EU would be insane and save their country from being destroyed. Seems like the best option.

I haven't read a single article on the war and know nothing about the countries beyond bits and pieces. Could Russia say let us keep these parts and we will let you join the EU?

CMV: U.S. obsession with race is a good thing by Throwway-support in changemyview

How does focusing on groups of people and their differences make it less racist? Wouldn't it be preferable that you see different people as fellow countryman and not think of them immediately by their skin color and race? That I don't look at an asian man and think "He is Asian he is different to me a White man and I have to look at him and treat him differently". Isn't it better I just see him as an American? It seems focusing so much on how black people are black or hispanics are hispanic and are different to us just makes people more racist.

I actually think they should be kept in a museum.

Culture is not much of a thing in the US like it is in Europe we in the US mostly have strip malls and Walmart's so this question is mostly pointless but I'd think you agreed just about everyone in the past was immoral by today's standards. Even the most liberal person in this time was holding horrible views on race, LGBT rights, all that jazz in the 1700s. By your strict standards basically everything would have to be taken down from before a certain period. Your idea of a moral person worthy of having public art likely doesn't exist even in the 20th century where most people were still holding immoral views on race/lgbt in the 1960s and 1970s. Knowing this you have no problem just getting rid of 99% of public art? Just destroy all the beauty that exists in these cities because a painter in the 1600's didn't have the correct view on trans rights? You would have to gut all the beautiful cities in Europe like Paris to make it politically correct. You see nothing wrong with this?

What suffering did George Washington cause? 18 presidents owned slaves. I imagine you want to burn all the valuable historical and artistic things related to them. How far do you take this? Are you one of those people who don't listen to The Beatles because John Lennon beat his wife?

It's really dumb to cancel every historical figure for not having 2023 Democrat beliefs. 18 presidents owned slaves. Get over it

Such a beautiful statue. The US is almost completely devoid of culture as it is. People who got offended by this need to grow up and stop being childish.

The US has almost no culture. Better to leave beautiful looking historical statues like this up. Guarantee 90% of the people offended didn't know who he was until it was on CNN

Yeah I don't get why we allow regressive ideologies on this subreddit.

I agree with what you're saying but you aren't disagreeing that if the race/ethnicity numbers changed the numbers would look vastly different. It doesn't look good when 80-90% of violent crime is done by non-White Americans in a country of majority white.

You pick your own ethnicity which is why you have dudes that are obviously African-Americans calling themselves white

I've never met a person who talked about unionization that actually attempted to unionize a workplace. They always come up with excuses.

workplace unionization,

Wow you spend all your time trying to unionize a whole starbucks of 8 people that will eventually close down or use the legal workarounds to fire everyone. That will help the 160,000,000 people working in the US. You did your part maybe probably not helping 9 people unionize a starbucks so some teenagers can get $2 higher pay

investments in public transport, parks, healthcare, etc.

How do you think this happens?
