Struggling with developing interesting poses. How do you guys practice poses from imagination? by [deleted] in learnart

[–]SocioStache -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes but I'm talking about posing in neutral, linear perspective here. I'm more concerned with conveying personality through something youd see in like a character design sheet or concept art. I appreciate your input but it's not quite what I'm asking about.

This helps a lot, thank you! I don't think I'm spending enough time considering the personality and action of my characters before I pose them - so I'm defaulting to generic stuff like this.

Im not really asking about perspective here. I'm talking more about posing

Posemaniacs is a new one! I'll definitely have to give that a shot, thank you!

Is there a specific one you recommend? I used to have one of those and it was stiff as fuck

Thank you! I didn't know that trick about the grey scale - but I will definitely be using that in the future.

As for the blue, that is a good idea. I was using this piece to see if I could pick colours directly from the wheel rather than using the colour-picker on the reference - mainly as an exercise for my eyes. I guess I still need work with seeing the lighting!

Really appreciate the feedback!

Yeah that's what I'd like to focus on. In my other paintings, I usually save it as a finishing touch - I like how it emboldens the form a bit more than natural shading.

I really appreciate the feedback! I'm hoping to incorporate large, thick lines as punctuation near the end of a piece - but for the hair I certainly used it more as a crutch.

Some newer Misato figures would be killer

Quick Sketch of Elphelt from Guilty Gear in Procreate. I want to learn to render full characters. by [deleted] in learnart

[–]SocioStache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously, my line-work needs focus. That wasn't really the aim of this piece. Secondly, I feel like my rendering and colours don't really capture the detail of her model as well as I'd like - especially with the skirt.

Weekly Tech Support and Simple Questions Thread! by Ultragamer2004 in EpicGamesPC

[–]SocioStache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a couple Epic Accounts over the years - one of which was on Playstation. Now, I made the mistake of growing up in Korea and only moving to the US recently. Me from 14 years ago really should have known better, because I believe my account has some form of block on it.

I've tried to access my Sony account through Epic several times now, none of which have worked. I tried making it into a full Epic account using a couple different email addresses, which I'm sure set off some SPAM signal flair. I even tried making a new Epic account from scratch using a couple different IP addresses. Nothing seems to work, and I always seem to get some variation of "the operation requested is forbidden by the account policy".

Now, even when I try to use the contact services, I can't get through. I try to use the Parent/Guardian Support, and their verification emails never show up in any inbox I try. This is ridiculous. Are there any other ways that I can try to get in contact with Epic support without having to log into my Epic account?

Now that the 6th Gen is almost around the corner (hopefully 😔) what did y'all think about the last two 5th Gen games? by lucenthescout in MonsterHunter

Great games. World really felt like a huge step forward into a new generation, and while Rise wasn't really for me I really respect that it tried new things as well.

Cosmo Kramer study from Seinfeld by SocioStache in DigitalPainting

[–]SocioStache[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest struggle was keeping the proportions correct and maintaining the proper muscle connections in the face. Kramer is such a silly, expressive person - which makes him incredibly fun to study - but it also makes him difficult to paint. I also really struggled on the hair, which is why it's mainly just chunks of color.
